Another TK issue

([GORE]Hallelujah) #1

Cutting it short.

Me - an allied engineer, building this remote narrow bridge.
Some guy - a soldier, runnig around me covering me/fighting a nazi homo.

Ultimately the bridge is built up - and at this very moment the console says i’m responsible for this guy’s death … he managed to get in the bridge’s circumference and as a result got crashed …

This guy was a nice one - he didn’t complain. But what if he was a newbie automatically clicking all YES/NO onscreen invitiations …

Gotta fix this, guys.

(along with this mines-TK-getting-kicked-out issue plz)

 I don’t believe it’s possible to file a complaint for that. Occasionally, I’ll get crushed like that in front of the person who is building something for fun, and I’ve never seen a complaint message pop up.

It is possible to complain from that. I have both seen the compain option when I walked into the structure and been complained against for daring to build the bridge while someone was standing in it.

The problem is that the engine won’t like having people inside of objects, so they have no choice really but to crush them. I think they should see about removing the TK complain option though for it though. However, I’m guessing that the engine simply works on the idea of deaths and death dealers. All the engine knows about thew situation is that person A died and person B is responsible.

This problem will go away over time. People will realise that it’s dangerous to stand in the yellow outline of the structures.

It doesnt let you file.

I was fairly certain u couldnt complain when u die by some1’s construction. So to be sure i created my own server and got some1 to test it with me. We both went allies he stood in the footbridge construction area while i built the foot bridge. The results were he couldnt file.

well, in this case we are facing a bug

(it obviously worked in my story, and Damocels also must have had some grounds for his suspicions)

As far as mines go, it’s kind of like panzers and 'nades, kinda tough. I always tell people to watch out for the big (fill-in-the-color) flags. Commonly I spit it out as: “You see the big red flags with ‘M’ on them dumba$$, that means it’s a mine, don’t step on it or you die.”

I rarely get kicked for that, but it happens, life.

Well have you ever thought that it wasnt intentional. I have sometimes walked backwards into a mine, which I didnt complain, yet to have an dork like yourself say something very similar. If they didnt complain then why does it really matter, no harm was done. But if you be an ass about it then all your doing is looking for trouble, and most likely next time a complaint.

(BoltyBoy) #9

I think he was implying he says that when someone files a complaint.

(Inglix the Mad) #10

Did you file a complaint? If not I’ll feel bad for about two seconds and then try to find the mine to replace it. Look at the thread, it about engineers being kicked for people stepping on mines. Sorry for the confusion.

No, what would be the point to file a complaint when it was my fault. I’ve never filed a complaint due to a mine. Rarely do I file complaints period, only when its obvious they were intentionally tk’ing, and usually after the 2nd time, everyone gets a freebie. Im just saying that alot of times eng’s immediatly start ranting because someone blew themselves up on one of their mines, regardless if a complaint was filed.

Sorry, I misinterpereted the post.
