Another Best Buy Question

Pre Ordered 4 copies (for myself and my 3 boys) on the 4th of April. I did not receive a email registration code. Am I supposed to get this before the bonus pack arrives?

If you ordered online, the email may arrive a significant time later. Mine was about a week. Someone told me they come out on Thursdays.

Also be sure it didn’t end up marked as spam.

Have you selected the bonus pack when ordering? it seems that it does not put this in your cart automatically…If so, i would just call up Best buy and ask if the bonus pack ships with the item or before it (like now-ish). Code will surely be in the bonus pack.

Yes I did. All 4 bonus packs have shipped via UPS. I was just wondering about the E-mail ppl are receiving, as I didn’t get one. Im thinking there was an error on my email addy. But if everything comes with packs I still should be good.

I hope futureshop, an affiliate of best buy is able to do the preorder thing. I don’t want to pay seperate shipping money because I already ordered from futureshop.

The e-mail they get is AFTER they reserve their playername online using the card in the bonus pack. The e-mail tells them that to complete the reservation, they will have to click on the link in the e-mail, and (this is after buying the actual game) enter the keycode for the game itself.

the e-mail goes like this:

[i][b]Thanks for pre-ordering Enemy Territory!

Your game tag has been reserved; but is not yet activated. Please hold on to this email until you pick up your copy of Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars™. In order to activate your reserved name for in-game use, you will need to visit the following URL and enter your retail CD Key Code:

http://www.enemyterritory.com/preorder/activation.php?code deleted cuz I ain’t stupid

I ordered mine online. I have received no physical items. The Thursday after I ordered, I got an email like this.

Dear Valued Customer,

Thank you for your purchase of Enemy Territory: Quake Wars from GameStop.com/EBgames.com. As part of your pre-order you have the chance to reserve your Gamer Tag. To do this, follow the instructions below:

Instructions

  1. Go to www.omgwtfbbq.com/tapir
  2. Enter your unique code: OMGWTFBBQ-YRLY
  3. Enter your username

GameStop Customer Service

Subsequent to using that code, I got an email like the one you quote.

I did it the easy way… just drove to BestBuy and paid the $10. Its good for $10 off the regular version or the collectors version. Went to the website entered my solder name along with the code that was supplied in the pre-order box and that was it…Too simple eh? :lol:
