I got more fps, So I could turn up resolution 
I got the ati 6970 2gig card
Edit (i spelled performance wrong in the title… ) (and i fixed spelling thread wrong)
I got more fps in the witcher 2 with it too,
Ps: Some people is complaining that they can see the sun through the ground at times in witcher 2.
gonna have a look at it now…
edit: no improvement here. sec tower’s outside room still drops down to 30. just like before.

One more thing you should correct. It’s called thread not tread. Tread is something you find on a tire. Anyway, nice post.

I am really sleepy now, thats the reason for the spelling mistakes. anyway now I can finally play brink with my full display resolution.
Make sure you fully uninstall old drivers, restart, install new drivers, and restart.
You should not install on top of old drivers.

I thought the tread would be on the front of the forum, so I didn’t look carefully enough.
PS: The leaked drivers on guru3d.com is the same as the drivers on the amd site i linked.
11.5b hotfix does give a performance boost, however they crash Brink on a map change.
Upon re-opening Brink after the crash, it blue screens.
This is a ‘persistent’ crash that effects both campaign and objective map changes. It does not effect challenges.

was expecting so much this week. im really disappointed. Anyone knows if theres a possibility in germany to get a refund? bought brink in a store (Saturn) not on steam.

No chance there at all.
Once the seal on the casing your software was delivered with ( in this case a game) is broken up you can’t return it anymore. And if by some chance they would allow it once registered to steam you agree to Valve’s TOS that states any game registered with that particular steam account can’t be dissociated from it under any circumstance. That is my take on their TOS at least.
guessed that. strange… if any other product doent work from the beginning you have any right to give it back, in germany at least.

Wait for the Catalyst 11.6 next month and the Catalyst Application Profile which will be released this Friday.
Hau den 11.5b treiber weg. Der geht bei mir auch net und verursacht nur CTD’s. Am besten lief das Spiel bei mir mit dem 11.3. Da hatte ich meist über 30 fps und ist selten drunter gegangen.
Mein PC ist ziemlich gleich wie deiner:
Core2Duo E8400
2x HD4850 (da der Treiber crap ist bringt crossfire bei mir nix)

Yes got that CTD. And i got the best performance on 11.2 (guess 11.3 will work similar). But even than i dont get the game as smooth as i wish… but thx for the advice anyways. will try 11.3 a friend of mine is using this version and isnt complaning. maybe its better than 11.2
Tryed it same fps but now sounds slutters a lot more wich make fps drop to around 5 6 fps sometimes it feels worst for me.
