i like the sound of the stun thing on paper, nice topic btw, but i think it would turn into a halo dance around and smack eachother, and people would take an advantage of it too much
Alternate to one button melee kill
Also teabagging while he’s fully conscious is even a bigger insult than when ‘dead’ and needing a revive.
Yeah i got that. I guess i din’t really word my question well. What I meant was, if normal guns are effectively a two hit kill, what makes the knife useful (other then backstab)?
I’m assuming knifes don’t knockdown, since that doesn’t really make sense. I also assume that knives aren’t one hit kills, since I’m pretty sure that was said numerous times.
Sniping people is JFK style assassination. Resistance faction glorifies violent insurrection. Violent video games make killing people fun. Deathmatch rules say you win if you kill the most people. Classy stuff, just like teabagging. Lets keep virtual and real life seperate discussions
Easy… Whilst someone is coming in close enough to melee you, shoot them. Works in BF:BC2.
Bahahah that’s funny… BUT Imagine getting shot in the nards mid-teabag bahahaha. If THAT doesn’t incapacitate someone, nothing will.
Aye, everyone traumatised by teabag experience will definitely want the ‘shoot while incapicated’ ability just because of that.

I foresee a bullet-proof underpants perk
how about light hits a heavy with the barrel of the gun?
knockdown or simply damage?
According to some very old SD comments the damage and effects for melee are the same across all types. It’s just that lights will be better at melee because of their mobility, that’s the only advantage.

The great thing about ETQW is that if you actually manage to kill someone with the defibs or knife then its extremely funny and humiliates them lol[/QUOTE]
I humiliated my fair share. Full revives of my teammates to act as human shields while I run around shocking the Strogg and defribing myself above 100 health… Tier 4 medic is some fun, fun stuff.
I don’t see how this is unrealistic… Even a “heavy” framed guy will be knocked down if he cops the butt of a rifle to his face irl !!
I’ve actually been thinking about the heavy vs. light melee thing. It sounds fine to me as it is now. It depends on how extreme the movement speeds for the body types is really.
I doubt that there will be differences in pivot speed, and that is the only thing that counts in close quarters combat.
