Allow Field ops to feed belt to machinegunners!

Something interesting would be if you have a machine gunner in a position, letting a field ops crouch/lay next to him (facing him) feeding him the belt of ammo to the machine gun. The field ops would only have to hold the use key next to the machine gunner and would use up his energy bar whenever the machinegunner fires. The advantage this would give would be that the gun would fire faster, more accurately, overheat slower and would have unlimited ammo. All of these things would last until the Field Ops stops “feeding” him the ammo (holding the use key) or runs out of energy.

Of course this would make the machinegunner much more powerful, but it would also take a lot of coordination, and the fact that the field ops would be helping the machine gunner rather then spamming you with airstrikes, I think it could be balanced. Tell me what ya think.

much as it sounds like a nice idea, the thought of actually trying to get someone on a public server to have the stimulating job of pressing “use” beside a machinegun…

Well, that’s why you get a clan or some friends that play…

I want to have a medic running around with me holding an I.V. bag with his use key to keep me going!

I think this is a bad idea, because I know eventually, I will be the one who ends up in the kitchen peeling spuds :moo:

Yes, I can see the potential danger in this involving the entire team’s resources at some point.

Hmmm that would be a cool MOD idea: if the medic was able to inject another teammate with the adrenaline…

I always get the major mods for RtCW mixed up, which one can the medic poison other players? OSP I think. In ET, Kills shows up in syringe stats. I want a syringe kill!!

I babble.

When you get too many complaints filed you spawn in a room with a potato peeler instead of the knife and have to peel 500 potatos to return to the game.

(amazinglarry) #9

Only problem with that is that if somebody’s right next to the machinegunner who’s prone, he can’t move the weapon for some reason…

Heh, that’s a great idea about the potato peelers  Unfortunately, the lamers would probably just disconnect and reconnect to skip their punishment.
