AK 47, STARK

I don’t get why they are trying to make the Timik more like the m4a1. The timid should be much stronger than the m4a1. Instead of making it more like the m4a1, I think the timid should be in between the m4a1 and dress. Also, I do not see why anyone would use the stark. It is a BR-12 with more recoil and a smaller clip. The stark claims more range but with the recoil, at range it has a large vertical spread making that stat not very helpful.

(WaffleMonster) #2

The stark has more damage per burst than the br 16 and is capable of taking down 100hp mercs with a single burst to the head.

With the timik, the developers are scared of buffing the damage of the weapon because it would result in the ttk being lower.

(sonsofaugust5) #3

So the stark does how much more damage? M4a1 just seems like a more controllable AK

(Drcipres) #4

It should be like this, M4 the easy weapons to use, Timik the hard weapons to use but with a benefit like 1 or 2 more damage per bullet, at the same RoF, and the start ar the long range option

(WaffleMonster) #5

I believe the stark does 17 damage per bullet and the br 16 does 16 damage per bullet.

(WaffleMonster) #6

*correction, stark does 18 damage per bullet.

(BananaSlug) #7

and br16 is doing 17dmg i believe

(sonsofaugust5) #8

stark has 1 more damage.

(sonsofaugust5) #9

I’ve been trying out stark compared to br and you can feel the damage difference if you hit headshots, but without the headshots it just feels like it shoots slower and has less bullets.

(WaffleMonster) #10

The stark has a faster ROF than the br16 but has a longer delay between bursts. The stark feels alot like the old br16.

(sonsofaugust5) #11

I dont think it has a faster rof. I’ve been using both and the br has less recoil and shoots faster.

(Amerika) #12

They both feel pretty much the same to me. My performance doesn’t vary wildly between the BR and the Stark. Currently I do enjoy the Stark a bit more however as I felt like there were quite a few situations where the small amount of extra damage would drop somebody earlier than what would happen with the BR. But that simply could be a perception thing. I think both are fine choices now.

(sonsofaugust5) #13

Yeah they are definitely compete with m4 now.

(WaffleMonster) #14

the br 16 has a lower rof but smaller delay between the bursts. The stark has the same rof as the old br16 making the bursts themselves feel better than the current br 16 with a longer delay between the bursts.

(sonsofaugust5) #15

I see. So the bullets come out faster but there is more time in between clicks.

(WaffleMonster) #16

Yes. I haven’t done any calculations on the dps of the br16 and stark yet and there seems to be a split within the community on which is better. Really it comes down to personal preference, both are great weapons although i hate the sound of the br16.

(Grave_Knight) #17

Timik has slightly higher RPM which gives it 3 more DPS than the M4A1. However the M4 has better control.

The BR-16 does 1 less damage per round and has a longer delay between rounds than the Stark but has a shorter delay between bursts. So the Stark has better damage per burst than the BR but the BR has better DPS (it also has one extra burst so it does better damage per magazine).

As for the MK46 (I know, no one asked) it’s…uh…well…better to go with the Stark or Timik right now. That guy is gonna get buffed or it’s going to go the way of the Blish and no one is going to use it unless they have no choice (right now, there is a choice).

(sonsofaugust5) #18

Yeah, its awful. I have Thunder, disappointed.

(CCP115) #19

Stark is absolutely killer, 18 damage is pretty incredible, and with the lack of damage falloff in this game, you can go wild at range.

Timik buffs have been going in the wrong direction indeed, damage should be buffed.

(roningoud) #20

@CCP115 I totaly agree the timik (ak-47) should be uncontrolable but extremely powerfull like in other games. now it is just a bad fake of the M4A1.
