true, but you need good controls to have good gameplay. If you have good controls, and crappy gameplay, then the game probably sucks. If you have crappy controls and good gameplay, the game also sucks. The controls are a huge part of gameplay, and if they suck, then the gameplay sucks. No matter how good the gameplay is, if the controls suck, then the gameplay automatically sucks.

Let’s just put it this way. Gameplay may suck to certain people, and it may not. It is all down to personal preference. I don’t know what kind of gameplay that everyone will hate, but I believe that is rare. Controls on the otherhand, there is a higher chance that a lot more people will dislike a common control scheme, hence customizable controls. All of Wolf 2’s customizations are meh, they are OK, but adding two actions to one button is what made the game suck.

An answer is an answer, I don’t know if its naivety or stupidity that makes you think posting something on a forum isn’t going to get a reply from any one other than the devs. It gets boring all the ‘SD fanboys’ wanting everything from all previous Splash games kept in Brink, creating a clone. Hmm no consistant unlocks, only unlocks on a per-match basis, no RPG elements or customization just generic chars, selectable spawn points, dedicated nade and tool weapon banks… Sound familiar? You want those? You got it, go play W:ET or ETQW.

If you want any of the other stuff not seen in those games, then go with the much loved “WE’LL ADD IT IN A PRO MOD!” answer… i think you’ll be much happier with that cos this doesn’t seem like the game for you.

If i want the old style of gameplay then I can go play those games, the reason i’m not bitching and whining about differences in this game is because i want a NEW game to play, what the hell is the point in the same old game with just new graphics?

i can only speak for myself, not all “rtcw elitists”, but all i’m looking for is a game that offers the type of team play that is at the heart of rtcw/et; something that makes you feel like a bad-ass among a team of bad-asses. Push or Die

I’m personnaly not here cuz I like brink, but cuz I like SD games n general sympathy with their customers, whats wrong with stating the obvious?

If its too “new gamer friendly” (as the word noob is nao banned…) we’ll simply don’t like it, now stating that we are all idiots cuz we express our opinions about somestuff we dont like is a bit harsh dont you think? Calling me a tool when I stated that Brink was (seemed) too slow for me is also one kind of good behaviour indeed… And oh wai… from the last “gameplay” vidz it appears it is uberslow and I’m no more alone thinking this.

Now I never said brink was pure crap, some ppl just have tendencies to make up their mind out of the blue I think, when I or whoever express a bad feeling on the game its usually pretty justified, and I think (I hope) you are intelligent enough to read thru the pure trolling and the real questions behind this trolling. Its my way to express things, being a damn scientist all day is kinda boring so when i’m here I dont want to express by charts.

ALL the concern Jamieson pointed out are real concerns, OFC we can adapt but not having the choice (i.e. 2 differents way to select nade as exemple) is allways a bad thing, even if I’m a big fan of the artstyle or the storyline in brink, if the game feel like battlefail or wolfailstein I’ll be truely disapointed. Saying that these concerns are kid-like behaviour is a bit harsh and slowminded IMO, the instanade is just horrid for some of us, and in BC2 beta for exemple I almost never used it cuz it was a pain (again, for me) to use it.

So yeah I thjink there is a line beetween loving a game/a developer’s crew and being a total arselicker about anything the game will turn into.

Now please if you feel that our concerns arent justified I guess we just have different opinion (you know what, it happens also IN REAL LIFE, so shocking, all these moronics friends of mine who dont think like me, grrr, wanna chop’em and kill’em all) and the debate is close as far as i’m concerned.

from the last “gameplay” vidz it appears it is uberslow and I’m no more alone thinking this.
if you watch the container city vids or the smart demo vid, his vaulting, mantling, etc is much faster.

(i.e. 2 differents way to select nade as exemple) is allways a bad thing,
how many games offer this? how many games offer 2 different ways to do anything?

Tbh m8 it’s a 2way door, any ignorance directed one way is equally met the other way, just seems too many like to play the victim when they’re called out on it and hide behind the crying of “we just want to express our opinions”, when in another thread you’d rage on someone for expressing theirs. Leave the hypocrisy at the door and we’ll all get on a lot better.

to evade such conclusions/confusions with [already]existed[for decades] acronyms, its should be renamed to something. like “UAssV” or “AUV”(Assault Unmanned Vehicle) and etc.

its not sill, just [little more]newbie-friendly, IMO. and btw, i suspect, most server owners will alter this “defailt”, very quick.
but “in general”, i agree, fratricide aspects/impact -are essential part of any serious wargame.

not only that, the game needs to have character customization so my character wears no pants for full fledged teabagging.
