The title said it all. Which SR do you prefer using while playing with Aimee?
Persionally kinda being torn with the Fel-Ix and the PDP-70 at the moment. Granduer is just awful combo with her SNITCH device.
Aimee:PDP or Fel-ix or Grandeur?
Already have all different primaries in my three cards of hers. Have tested them all out and even though I love to run and gun with the Grand I think I still prefer the PDP outta all of them.
Felix, cause I’m bolt action enthusiasts when it comes to sniping.
Semi automatic primaries are not my taste.
Grandeur as well.
Personally I see no reason to use Aimee with the Felix or the PDP. Tbh Vassili’s ability is better for spotting, he has more health, and he has both those guns.
It depends how you play though. I’m very aggressive and tend to push up lots, and I can aim the Grandeur well, so I prefer that. The Grandeur isn’t for everyone though.
FEL-IX all day.
PDP is just garbage, it’s only good against a team of Proxys’ and Auras only (which can only happen in pubs) and maybe on Redeye because he can’t use bolt action
Grandeur is bad due to it’s lack of damage and having no scope/crappy iron sight.
Maybe if they increase Grandeur’s damage to 45 and give it some kind of a scope or a good iron sight, I will consider using it on Terminal and Underground. But otherwise only FEL-IX. No reason to use useless auto snipers when I can have an amazing 1 shot kill bolt action

The Grandeur is NOT strictly better than the Dreiss. Sure, you can argue that its advantages outweigh the advantages of the Dreiss, but the Dreiss has a higher DPS (as of the latest Grandeur patch), has higher hipfire accuracy, has less obscuring ironsights for when you need to ADS (which is often for both guns), has a larger magazine, AND has much more controllable recoil in ADS.
Also, Kira’s ability to place ammo AND call in lasers far outweigh the Snitch device - I HIGHLY disagree with you when you say that Aimee’s ability is better than Kira’s.

PDP is garbage? No, my friend. Just no.
PDP, if you can manage the recoil, which is now really predictable. You can kill most with two shots.
It’s more like the PDP is garbage on Vas and Aimee because their abilities don’t cause that gun to skyrocket in effectiveness, giving it the illusion of being useless. However, on Redeye, it’s by far his best weapon with an absolutely absurd risk/reward ratio and how smoke and IR boost the potential for the PDP to shine - making it an absolutely broken mess on him.

I wouldn’t say that the PDP isn’t amazing on Vassili - wallhacks make it incredibly strong. However, I do agree that it is most effective on Redeye, since semi automatic rifles require you to maintain line of sight on your opponent for longer, and Redeye’s smoke allows him to do so while also making it nearly impossible for enemies to shoot back at him.

Lasers only work outdoors.
The Snitch and the Grandeur can be used in conjunction to hold a doorway or room. The Snitch zaps the enemy, you take two - three shots, they die.
The Grandeur is actually better than the Dreiss if you know when to click. With the Grandeur you can take three shots at a proxy and it’d be dead. With the Dreiss most people would be tapping left click rapidly with it and it has a chance that the bullet could go off and miss. This also makes the Grandeur more ammo conservative than the Dreiss meaning she doesn’t need to look for an ammo crate or drop down an ammo station every 2 - 3 minutes.

It’s bad because it has a horrible recoil and deals low damage on hits. As Redeye it still might be good but not on Aimee or Vassili.
My main problem with it is that the entire point of snipers is being good will reward you with a lot of kills but being bad will put you in a 2/30 K/D, PDP changes it as it requires no skill to use and bad snipers can still use it which causes more noobs to play sniper. It is clearly worse than bolt action for good snipers and any good sniper will prefer a MOA in 90% of the times. It has more DPS and missing doesn’t punish you. Snipers are SUPPOSED to have low DPS but kill people in one shot to the head and deal heavy damage on bodyshots and if you miss, you have to wait 1.5 seconds before being able to fire again which is risky. PDP does not punish you for missing and it can’t 1 shot most classes, which ruins the point of snipers, if you wanna deal high DPS go play an assault or fire support class, if you want instant kills, go for sniper and use bolt action. As Redeye just smoke the bomb so your teammates can defuse and cover them while they do so, he isn’t a sniper merc he is more of a support/assault, if they wanted him to be a sniper, they would’ve given him a bolt action

Lasers only work outdoors, true, but most of the maps accomodate laser play just fine (even Underground has some locations where the laser can destroy people who aren’t expecting a laser to hit (you can completely clear the roof with it at the first obj and, if it’s planted right, you can laser through the gap in that roof onto the C4 to prevent people from disarming, you can use it through the skylights at the mid-level 180 degree turn area, and you can call it in on the second obj platform to kill disarmers and armers).
The Grandeur is actually better than the Dreiss just from ‘knowing when to click’… The Driess is highly accurate for its first three shots, and then all you need to do is flick on ADS and continue to spamfire - which means you’re not losing any DPS whatsoever. The Driess has a DPS of 135, while the Grandeur now has a DPS of 120 after the firerate nerf it received recently. So, unless you’re against an Aura/Sparks (or a Proxy/Kira/Aimee if you’ve snitched them) then you want the Driess for close quarters and medium range. This is how I compare the three semi auto rifles:
- the Driess is fantastic for close range (135 dps and can hipfire), good for medium range (if you have Quick Eye and you ADS), and is good at long range against anyone except other snipers.
- the PDP is fantastic for medium and long range (due to its scope and lack of damage drop off over range), but is kind of average in close range (since it cannot hipfire)
- the Grandeur is average in close range (since it only has 120 DPS, even though you should never fire it that fast anyway), good (but not fantastic) in medium range (since it still has to slow down its firerate or use its horrible ironsights, whereas the Dreiss and PDP have nice sights even when firing at full firerate), and (like the Driess) the grandeur is a good sniper at long range so long as your opponent doesn’t have a MOA/PDP/Fel-IX (since they can use scopes and are also able to deal much more upfront damage than you, plus they can 1 shot headshot Aimee, while the Grandeur cannot unless they are dumb enough to not take care of your snitch).
The Snitch is terrible. It is SO easy to see and kill and its respawn timer takes far too long to be effective. Vassili’s motion sensor can spot people without line of sight, which means you can throw it into hidden locations so that the enemies simply cannot destroy it, even if they knew where it was (for example, on Underground defence on the first objective I go up on the left hand balcony and throw my motion sensor behind the elevator where it bounces into a hidden spot, but still detects everyone running into/past the elevator - if you tried to spot those same targets with a snitch they would HAVE to be able to see it, or it wouldn’t do anything). The only way the Snitch is good is to get that first tag on the enemy before they shoot it, and you then have a few seconds where they are weakened, so you do get a chance there, but after that time is up your snitch is down and you’re waiting for it to respawn while running around as the 2nd weakest merc with one of the lowest DPS weapons in the game. Awesome…?
Sorry for the essay. I’m just saying - Aimee with a Grandeur isn’t terrible, but she is outclassed by her other gun choices and by the stats and abilities of the other snipers.

If you’re using a PDP, you can’t win an equally matched sniper battle with someone who’s using a bolt action, so that’s where the game balances out the ‘no-skill’ gun - it leaves people who chose the PDP vulnerable to counter sniping (although, if the PDP user is a Redeye user in smoke, he then has the advantage if the enemy countersniper is stupid enough to try to shoot him down while his smoke is up).
But anyway, the PDP isn’t a ‘no skill’ gun… It just requires less skill then the bolt actions to use - and that’s not necessarily a bad thing - because almost every gun in the game doesn’t require as much skill as the bolt actions, so why is the PDP (which is still more skilled than the Stark or KEK-10) still considered to be the ‘no skill’ gun…? It’s like calling the 2nd place sprinter after Usain Bolt the ‘slowest runner’ despite the fact that there were plenty of runners behind him…

The Snitch is used for holding doorways and rooms, as I have mentioned before. You can place one at the top of the door frame and take 1 - 2 shots at anyone that comes through the doorway. You shouldn’t compare guns like these with DPS. With the Grandeur, you can strafe back and forth and pop 2 - 3 timed shots into the enemy and they would generally die. With the Dreiss however, you have to shoot around 6 - 7 times into the enemy before they would die. The Dreiss is only good when you’re playing a close ranged playstyle like Redeye. Grandeur is great at all ranges, it feels like a gun that is a stronger Dreiss at hipfire and turns into a PDP with a tighter spread at scope mode. You just have to learn to click at the appropriate times during hipfire. The Grandeur I feel is the only viable gun for Aimee since if she uses a sniper rifle she gets immediately outclassed by Vassili due to her low health.
