Makes her a kira with a better dreiss and a better ability.

The Grandeur is NOT strictly better than the Dreiss. Sure, you can argue that its advantages outweigh the advantages of the Dreiss, but the Dreiss has a higher DPS (as of the latest Grandeur patch), has higher hipfire accuracy, has less obscuring ironsights for when you need to ADS (which is often for both guns), has a larger magazine, AND has much more controllable recoil in ADS.
Also, Kira’s ability to place ammo AND call in lasers far outweigh the Snitch device - I HIGHLY disagree with you when you say that Aimee’s ability is better than Kira’s.
Lasers only work outdoors.
The Snitch and the Grandeur can be used in conjunction to hold a doorway or room. The Snitch zaps the enemy, you take two - three shots, they die.
The Grandeur is actually better than the Dreiss if you know when to click. With the Grandeur you can take three shots at a proxy and it’d be dead. With the Dreiss most people would be tapping left click rapidly with it and it has a chance that the bullet could go off and miss. This also makes the Grandeur more ammo conservative than the Dreiss meaning she doesn’t need to look for an ammo crate or drop down an ammo station every 2 - 3 minutes.

Lasers only work outdoors, true, but most of the maps accomodate laser play just fine (even Underground has some locations where the laser can destroy people who aren’t expecting a laser to hit (you can completely clear the roof with it at the first obj and, if it’s planted right, you can laser through the gap in that roof onto the C4 to prevent people from disarming, you can use it through the skylights at the mid-level 180 degree turn area, and you can call it in on the second obj platform to kill disarmers and armers).
The Grandeur is actually better than the Dreiss just from ‘knowing when to click’… The Driess is highly accurate for its first three shots, and then all you need to do is flick on ADS and continue to spamfire - which means you’re not losing any DPS whatsoever. The Driess has a DPS of 135, while the Grandeur now has a DPS of 120 after the firerate nerf it received recently. So, unless you’re against an Aura/Sparks (or a Proxy/Kira/Aimee if you’ve snitched them) then you want the Driess for close quarters and medium range. This is how I compare the three semi auto rifles:
- the Driess is fantastic for close range (135 dps and can hipfire), good for medium range (if you have Quick Eye and you ADS), and is good at long range against anyone except other snipers.
- the PDP is fantastic for medium and long range (due to its scope and lack of damage drop off over range), but is kind of average in close range (since it cannot hipfire)
- the Grandeur is average in close range (since it only has 120 DPS, even though you should never fire it that fast anyway), good (but not fantastic) in medium range (since it still has to slow down its firerate or use its horrible ironsights, whereas the Dreiss and PDP have nice sights even when firing at full firerate), and (like the Driess) the grandeur is a good sniper at long range so long as your opponent doesn’t have a MOA/PDP/Fel-IX (since they can use scopes and are also able to deal much more upfront damage than you, plus they can 1 shot headshot Aimee, while the Grandeur cannot unless they are dumb enough to not take care of your snitch).
The Snitch is terrible. It is SO easy to see and kill and its respawn timer takes far too long to be effective. Vassili’s motion sensor can spot people without line of sight, which means you can throw it into hidden locations so that the enemies simply cannot destroy it, even if they knew where it was (for example, on Underground defence on the first objective I go up on the left hand balcony and throw my motion sensor behind the elevator where it bounces into a hidden spot, but still detects everyone running into/past the elevator - if you tried to spot those same targets with a snitch they would HAVE to be able to see it, or it wouldn’t do anything). The only way the Snitch is good is to get that first tag on the enemy before they shoot it, and you then have a few seconds where they are weakened, so you do get a chance there, but after that time is up your snitch is down and you’re waiting for it to respawn while running around as the 2nd weakest merc with one of the lowest DPS weapons in the game. Awesome…?
Sorry for the essay. I’m just saying - Aimee with a Grandeur isn’t terrible, but she is outclassed by her other gun choices and by the stats and abilities of the other snipers.
The Snitch is used for holding doorways and rooms, as I have mentioned before. You can place one at the top of the door frame and take 1 - 2 shots at anyone that comes through the doorway. You shouldn’t compare guns like these with DPS. With the Grandeur, you can strafe back and forth and pop 2 - 3 timed shots into the enemy and they would generally die. With the Dreiss however, you have to shoot around 6 - 7 times into the enemy before they would die. The Dreiss is only good when you’re playing a close ranged playstyle like Redeye. Grandeur is great at all ranges, it feels like a gun that is a stronger Dreiss at hipfire and turns into a PDP with a tighter spread at scope mode. You just have to learn to click at the appropriate times during hipfire. The Grandeur I feel is the only viable gun for Aimee since if she uses a sniper rifle she gets immediately outclassed by Vassili due to her low health.

The Grandeur is okay at all ranges, but not great. It pretty much always loses out to the Stark anyway, whereas the PDP, MOA and FEL-IX can at least out damage the Stark at long range. The Grandeur is always outclassed in all of its ranges. That’s why it’s shit. At least the Driess can fight well in close range with its 135 DPS, but the Grandeur can’t do that well in close range. The Grandeur also is outclassed by the other snipers in medium range as they have higher DPS (PDP/Driess) or they have higher upfront damage that makes quick-peaking incredibly effective (PDP/MOA/FEL-IX). And finally the Grandeur is outclassed at long range due to its lack of having a scope. ON TOP OF THAT, the Grandeur is GROSSLY outclassed by the Stark in close and medium range, and is on-par with it at long range.
So basically, the Grandeur is a jack-of-all trades in comparison with the other sniper rifles, but it’s crap compared to the Stark which does the same job but better.
