Can you maybe add a Mp40 to the Allies side on RTCW ET. Because the Mp40 is a bether gun than the Thomson. Mp40 is much faster and bether on close combat than the Thomson. If you want to make the teams fair you have to add a mp40 :).

Read the other threads. There is no difference between the Thompson and MP40 in Enemy Territory. :moo:
people think that the guns are diffrent but there not, Splash damage crew has already reacted on this matter and they said the guns had the same code , only diffrence was the sound and the graphics…

Although it must be completely psychological, I do find myself killing a lot more with the mp40.
Maybe it’s something unrelated like all n00bs want to play as allies because it’s the good guys so they must win, right?
I also habe always more kills with mp40 than with te thomson. So if you see the fire rate of the mp40 is much faster than te tomson. So you kan shoot more rpm with the mp40 than with te thomson :D.
It’s all in ur head, mate 
Usually the defending team has an advantage over the attackers, thats why you probably get more kills with the Mp-40

When he said he thinks the mp40 is better, he may not have been saying that he thinks it actually has a physical advantage, he may simply have been referencing the fact that a lot of people develop a psychological state of minds where they think having the mp40 gives them an advantage. Sometimes what’s in your head is all you need to win a firefight. I think you guys are too quick to jump on people and assume the worst.

I interpreted as a “physical advantage” Whatever the case, the weapons are “Physically” equal. If he meant a “psychological” advantage, then im sorry, usually the simplest interpretation is the correct one, but i could very well have been wrong.

I’m a big fan of the sound of the Thompson… it just sounds meaner to me, so I prefer to use that over the MP40, since there are no differences in acc, etc, like there was in RtCW.
As BlackDeath already said at the START of the thread, if u want it, just pick it up…
Although statistically ur likely to be exchanging a perfectly good loaded weapon for another perfectly good empty (or near empty) one.
