just played on a crowded server (et-pub).
One guy (most of the time axis medic) has an accuracy of around 50 % (47 to 50) with MP40.
I’ve been following him in spec.
But couldn’t see anything.
Is it possible to get near 50 %?
If someone uses an aimbot will he/she get exactly the same acc all the time?
Or is it also variing?
Yes, it’s not at all uncommon for good players to get 50% on crowded and/or newbie servers. Even I get that occasionally (luck, and being in “the zone”), though I’m usually a 30% acc guy.
No. Things like spread, gibbing, and intentionally missing to keep accuracy down means that aimbot accuracy can vary a great deal (some cheaters also turns the bot off when they think they are spectated).
If someone consitently gets triple-headshots and/or has a really high acc it’s obviously a good idea to spectate him. 50% accuracy alone means very little though.
It’s possible that it was a cheater, but without a demo it’s impossible to tell (even with a demo it may be hard to tell).
It can vary a little, as most aimbots will add some sort of extra spread. Last aimbot I saw could be configured.
No that I use one, but I knew a guy who once posted such a thing. Luckily we don’t have that guy in our clan anymore.
ETPub calculates accuracy sligtly different - its counts hits to gib enemies (ETMain tries to “ignore” it). So your accuracy is usually higher on ETPub when you gib alot.
E.g. you fire 5 shots to gib an enemy, 3 of it hit the body on the ground:
ETMain: you get 2 misses, ovarall shot count increases by 2, the 3 hits are not counted at all.
ETPub: you get 2 misses and 3 hits, ovarall shot count increases by 5.
Sure. I can get that on nub servers, but on good servers it’s between 30 and 40.
Don’t you just those guys who hang out on nub servers all day and own people who don’t even fully understand how to play the game, just to feel good about themselves? Yes, of course you do, because we’re all guilty of it.
everybody’s accuracy is up with the newer etpros (and i gather etpubs) along with the latest etmain patch. the game is just more refined now. all it means is that we’re getting credit for skill, which we didn’t get in say etmain 2.55 for example. the best shots were likely always shooting in the 40’s as far as their crosshairs were concerned, but it wasn’t registering.
anyway, if you can’t tell if it’s a bot, it’s probably not. it’s pretty easy to spot them if you know what to look for.
