After not playing this game for QUITE some time, i decided to reinstall it. Unfortunately, I have forgotten my account info, everything about it. Is there anyway to reset my account given that I have my CD key? Whenever I enter the game and try to create a new account with my current key, it says “Unknown Error”, or something of the sort. Is this because there is already an account associated with this key? I just really wanna play lol. Can anyone help? Thanks in advance.

Nope, when I asked Activision the same about the CD Key and such this is what they told me.

I had to buy a new copy of the game.

Did you have your CD key? because I have mine, I just forget my username and password.

oh, if you have you’re cd key when you go to log in there is an option to find old accounts and you just enter your cd key and it gives you names, then you can reset their passwords.

Make sure to update your game to 1.5 as well, that fixes any errors you might experience during the process.

This. The error you are experiencing is the exact error you get if your game is not up-to-date when trying to play.

Thanks so much guys! Should I update in game or outside? I’m not sure where to find the patch if I don’t upgrade in-game.

The ingame patcher doesn’t always work unfortunately, it’s better to update manually using timestart’s link.
