A Question For The "Tuesday Theory"

Just wondering if anyone might know this.

There has been constant references to a Tuesday release by Microsoft for the DLC.

Is that Tuesdays…worldwide? Or just a North American Tuesday?

I thought that the, “tuesday theory” was just a rumor created by someone on this forum.

that’s the day PSN does their updates (xbox too?) - hence the (rampant?) speculation.

I looked up DLC for various xbox titles, and it seems like most were released on a Tuesday or Thursday, so I think xbox360 would fit the criteria of a Tuesday launch as well. Not gonna speculate on whether I think it will be tomorrow or not, since I don’t want to feel let down if it doesn’t come out tomorrow.

I think they are just stopping the tidal wave of posts we’ve been having regarding the DLC. Its getting a little boring to keep coming here and finding 5+ threads started each day asking where the DLC is.

I think its because he started one the day before, and the day before that and well the day before that. He really doesn’t need to keep created new threads regarding the DLC when he already has several open already.

In the USA, games are typically released on Tuesdays; in EU, it’s typically done Thursday. Im not exactly sure why that is the case, has something to do with game companies thinking they get more sales releasing on a certain day. Worldwide games will often have a 3 day difference in release times just so they can release on both tuesday and thursday.

Someone took that and assumed that a DLC would also be released on a tuesday, and ran with the idea.

oh OK I guess… I am just pissed at Microsoft and Sony right now for holding everyone up, maybe CoD has payed them off to delay our DLC!!!

I think its because after this week, it will no longer be early July and we are now running into mid July. i am started to think it was all just photo shopped pictures and infact their is no DLC at all!

Here is an idea for SD, instead of locking every thread that discusses the fact the it looks like they have missed their “early July” deadline and actually give us an explanation as to why it is July 12th and we have seen no sign of the DLC.

I honestly love this game and will continue to play it, but the lack of communication between SD with the people that have purchased this game and have continued to support them and this is getting pretty ridiculous in my opinion. Just let us know what is going on, whether it is bad news or not. At least we will know what is happening and what to expect, and quite frankly I think that that is what most people are upset about at this point.

No, its just following the same pattern as the game itself.

Spring 2010
Fall 2010
Spring 2011

It will get done, it just shouldn’t have been announced so early.

Also, until they have passed the halfway mark, they could still argue its early July.

Microsoft was fine and excited with AOC until the word free came up as everyone was chit-chatting on the way to lunch. “Did I hear you correctly? F-r-e-e. As in toy with happy meal?” Then MS was like “whoa, hold on partner, we better skip lunch and talk this over some.” Lol.

I truly believe that is why its being delayed like this, because it is free.

Maybe them locking the thread is a good thing. Maybe the DLC will come within the deadline and they didn’t want the thread open because it would be rendered untrue.
