Unless SD clarifies and actually gives a honest date I have the feeling they’ve been just blatantly lying to their customers by giving an indicator but knowing beforehand it’s impossible. By now we would have heard something, they don’t even seem to TRY to promote it, it’s like they don’t give a **** if the general public is aware of the dlc or not. Also, closing all the dlc threads without any message from Exedore or Badman (Exedore, where art thou?) is really frustrating. Are they afraid telling us the more likely date? I would prefer it alot more if we would hear it’s delayed to let’s say August the 13th instead of "well, End of june…nope, passes, it’s now early July…nope, that passes too, we promise by the end of the month you’ll have it…nope, passes.

sigh… I’m so super frustrated with the miscommunication

I talked to a splash damage mod last night and he told me that sadly it most likely will not come out today. It’s still going through the certification process.

I really do think at this point it is out of their hands. But I would love to see a word on how the process of certification works, how long it takes the complete on respective platforms, and if they are slated to come out at the exact same time.

Because of the nature of these forums as of late. I don’t blame them for offering more information at this time as some forum members seem to just take that information and use it to criticize the game even more. And diehard brink players keep getting their hopes up and let down.

It’s smart of SD to keep quiet. If they really have no way of knowing when it could be up then they shouldn’t comment.

Something must have failed then. Either SD found a game-breaking bug and had to re-submit, or some cert check failed from either MS or Sony. There’s no way a DLC takes 3-4 weeks to certify. We’ve gotten complete AAA titles through certs in 2 weeks in the past when I was at EA.

Oh well, guess I’ll just have to keep playing Brink until it comes out then. What a shame. :wink:

Or they might have decided to further balance everything out or add a new weapon in there so everyone stops being so angry.

To all of the people who think that the DLC is just the rest of the game removed from the original. I think it’s safe to say you’re wrong.

They could say at least they have no clue themselves if it’s truely that. Not saying anything at all regarding the state of the dlc is madness in my eyes. THAT really lets me down. Even a message of that it’s still coming and be patient for a bit longer (and perhaps throw a video or some screens in it to show more of the abilities or maps) would be extremely welcome.

Well maybe some of the other new content out this week in the online store will catch my eye, I have been sitting on a $50 PSN card since I got Brink… Maybe its time to use it especially with the summer sale starting this week. Already had to miss out on the first 10days of online gameplay cause of PSN being down, now even more delays with the DLC… LOL imagine my online hours if I played those 10 days Wolfnemises!!!

Nah. An Engy removed the hackbox after he got it to 99% on Shipyard. And he watched a bot medic teammate die inches from reviving him. Crushed his hopes and dreams. Rage quit. :tongue:

most likely he got pissed cause me and lago kept running into the spawn point and killing them when they showed up. lol or he ran out of spawn and bam the sticky i threw at the spawn area finally went off

When trying to get the achievement for playing through the campaign on hard, I was playing Shipyard with two other XBL friends and we got it to 97% and then failed. Thus, I can tell tell you from personal experience that the situation you describe can induce frustration and rage. :mad:

Footnote: Later another day, the same three players stomped through that map, accomplishing both objectives on the second attempt. It sure felt satisfying!

Yeah I remember…I am pretty sure I was one of the three players you were playing with when it had been at 97%. Sometimes you got to fall before you know how to stand. or something all philosophical like that… brain hurts, too hot today.
