A lamer report and problem

This is a report about a lamer called ^===B-Real.
It happend two days ago when me and a friend of mine joined a clanbase server. We both became refs but we didn’t threat people unfair.
After a while this lamer ^===B-Real came to the server and he asked us if he could also be a ref. So i made him a referee and as soon as he became referee he unrefeed me and my friend and then he kicked us.
He also kicked the entire server empty so only he was inside the server.

I went back to server again after about 5 minutes and i saw him again so i asked him why he kicked us.He wanted to make it up to me but when i became a referee again i wanted to kick his ass but i couldn’t kick or unreferee him. The console just said he wasn’t on the server.Here is a recording of that time i entered the server again.

Yesterday i got back in the server again with my friend and was pleased to see he was gone.
After like 5 minutes he was back in the server and because i was a ref again and my friend also , i thought what the hell so i tried to kick him out but still he wasn’t on the server(BUG).
Then a clan called …/tm/ joined the server and they immediatly started to unreferee us and then we where kicked. Unfortunatly i haven’t recorded it or made a pic of it.

When i joined clanbase today he wasn’t in the server so me and my friend thought that lamer was finally gone. Well he wasn’t gone so he joined again but because he didn’t have the power of a referee anymore and we did he couldn’t kick us. And again we weren’t able to kick or unreferee him. I have made a few records of him today when i played and when you view them all it is clear to see that he is a lamer. He also did something with multiple voting.

Is there anything i can do to kick him out of the server and to stop this kind of lamers in the future??

ps. Those recordings are recordings directly from the game ET and i don’t know if the can be viewed a other way.

just to add, if you have ops in an irc channel, dont +o everyone who asks for it.

the bug is a well known one, disclosing it wouldnt exactly help (SD cant have missed it, Q3 bug afaik) but solution iirc is to press ESC and use the referee menu :slight_smile:

At first it seems like a nice guy but when the second map of the campaign started he kicked us all. So i should use the ref menu to kick him or what ??? Because i already tried that.

it doesnt work with the ref menu either? hmm try doing /players, and spot the PID in the console. then try substituting the PID for the name when using ref kick. not sure how it will work our though, pid seems to be broken in ET.

else you might need either RCON or to get clanbase to setup pb player power.

Dude, he’s a ref on the server. I know him, and B-Real rules when you get to know him…!

Funny how hardstyle calls this a lamer forum.

EDIT: It’s not a ClanBase server, but it’s just called ClanBase.
I’m surprised he didn’t login to ref using his password. Oh and, he’s not Dutch, he can only speak little Dutch, his primary language is German I think.
About the name ^ thing, I laughed my ass off when he said that you have to hack the game for it, I explained to to his friend ^===Destiny and so ^===B-Real and ^===G3kk0 use it too.
Just learn how to respect server referee’s, and what’s the use of reporting it to Splash Damage?!

Um… I’m pretty sure that a REF cannot UNREF somebody else…

I’ve tried doing it before to be an ass to my Clan buddies but the console told me I couldn’t unref the referee. The ONLY way you can do it is if you have /rcon or you call a vote to un-ref.

actually youll find that they do play by unfair rules, and i myself have had contact with this B-Real, and have had a number of conflicts about him. I find his methods to be morally unjust and againstthe policy of fair gaming.

Dunno why people put in the effort to do this. When these peeps come along to a server I’m admining and I need to run a ref command on them, I instead substitute it with pb_sv_ban and take care of business that way. You could probably prevent this by making the caret (^) a censored name so that it kicks anyone who uses it. Personally I think its more fun for someone to lame around saying “you can’t kick me, haha!” and respond with a pb_sv_ban. =)

You can only unref people made ref by either a vote or the ref command. Anyone who gained ref using the password cannot be undone.

And if someone is abusing ref rights and killing a server, simply go find another.

I agree completely - I’ve had a few people who needed kicked, and, being a lazy bastard, I just use the ref menu clicky clicky…if someone has tailored their name such that that doesn’t work, pb_sv_ban - every time

There are few things I’ll ban for, but having a kick-resistant name is at the top of the list.
