A few problems with my server...........

HI

Im running an ET pro server, running CB offical maps, IP:195.62.10.135:27960

I was wondering does anyone know why people get kicked for “INIT failer” , is it server side or Player side? and how do you sort that?

Also on our server a lot of people (id say 1 in 10) Get kicked for punk buster problems, how can you get round that? is it server side or Client side?

People get Kicked after Downloading anything, is there a way to sort this?

And finaly people get kicked off our PRIVATE server for inactivity… whats the command to turn this off in the server.cfg

P.S is there anyway where there is a list of what commands you can add to a SERVER.cfg and what they do?

well the inactivity problem can be throttled by changing set g_inactivity “150”

we don’t run pro, its either straight up et or shrub.
second, if you are using an http dl site, it is well known that the version you are running has issues with the http dl, try to make sure case is exact. And your server isn’t in Belgium like ours LOL (server in NY website http in Belgium, holy latency batman!)

PB… well that happens allot and seems to happen more on our server since 2.60
If I were you, I’d throttle the kick time it does for the most common “PB” violations to ease the pain. Ours if ya get booted for dropped packets its 0 min pb init failure 1min ect…

The error message is actually “PB INIT Failure”. The root cause of it is that your server’s PB files are not getting auto-updated properly. At the moment, you’re running versions (1.123 | A1347 | C1.167) on your server, whilst the latest versions are (1.149 | A1355 | C1.167). See www.evenbalance.com for info.

Upgrade to ET version 2.60.

P.S. You’ve put your map files in the etpro directory. That’s a big no-no, as it requires people who actually have the maps already download them again. Put all map files in etmain.

Punk is messed up again…alot of servers are having this problem even after a client does the update with pbweb.exe
Come on PB…Can’t we get stable stuff here ?

I am wondering if they are making the PB for the new patch…old patch…or is it the same for all patches ?— I say this because no-patch is having alot of prolems with PB while 2.60 seems to be in the clear.

Same is happening on our server running 1.02 & etpro 3.1.9 (and it as happening with 3.1.0 as well. I’ve asked a lot of Qs about it, but so far I’ve found nothing that works. It’s heartbreakin to be sure :frowning:

We will probably go for the new patch now that ETpro 3.20 is out, and see if that makes any difference.
