Still very addicted to only one map : Can’t wait for the full release to hit the streets.
Before that happens, i hope that these suggestions could be of any help.
Alot of times, when im actively playing the game, i don’t hear the ‘Dynamite planted’ of the Fueldump : I wondered if this was either me, or just that sometimes it does not play that sound.wav ?
I noticed that it sometimes also does not say (for instance) ‘Dynamite planted’ when i plat it at the bridge : As this is not too important, not hearing the .wav when it\s planted at your Fueldump, can be disastrous.
I wondered if it would maybe be possible to raise a big ‘alarm’-sound once the dynamite has been planted at the Fueldump (like air-strike alarms): And that would stop as soon as it got defused… or explodes
There’s been alot of talk about the vsay-voices allready : So i won’t go over that one again
For myself, i don’t like some .wav’s of them, but others, defenitely, have to stay : for once, ‘Use grena… Use Panzerfaust !’ is just f*cking hilarious : Keep that one
I have been looking if it was possible to bookmark a server to my favourites once you’re on the server :
If this isn’'t possible : Could it maybe be in the full release ?
Sometimes when you are on a server, you just want to immedeately bookmark it, and this would be the way
I really like the Command map feature, but sometimes i have troubles ‘reading’ it in a flash of a second.
This, imo, has to do with the, extremely, detailed icons on there : I really like the graphics on the command map, but i also wouldn’t mind being able to switch to the ‘light icon’-mode : In which it would just display very easy-2-recognize-icons. But well, this is nitpicking
I read the other day that there isn’t a cvar to set your sexe : As in, your death message (He has been killed, She has been killed) :
How bout that coming back ? And even making an option for it in the cfg-menu.
ET, imo, is very hard to step in, without RTFM.
I think it would be a great opportunity to have an option (which, by default, turns on, but can also be turned off) in which certain things would be explained, with text/icons, onscreen.
For instance, when a covert ops would kill an enemy for the first time (and the enemy is close) : it could display a line in which it explains that you can now rob the guy of his nice-looking pants
Or, if you walk past a certain object as an engineer, it could say soething in the lines of ‘these objects can be build blahblahblah’
I know there is a manual, but, imo, this would really server people playing the game for the first time … and making their judgements upon that .
I heard alot of people say : Man, this is confusing (i also heard alot of people say ‘Man, this is f*cking cool’
) and i think some help messages onscreen would not be too bad for people to get into the game
Well, there’s my set of suggestions.
Now for the compliment i am left with :
The guy who mapped the ‘frozen waterpart’ should be getting a medal : this looks so f*cking cool imo
And it’s too much fun to try to heal some1
And also give out a medal to the freak-mapper who came up with the (afaik) first, real, garagedoor (in ways of how it opens) i just noticed it the other day how neat that is done
Overall, this map just looks great (the cave i did not even mention) and plays great : /me can only trust on SD that the remaining 5 maps wll be of the same top-quality.
Ohyeah, and for the ‘small bug’ mentioned in the topic :
When you are a soldier with an MG42 (i think it’s called this, i suck at weapons names
) there’s a little bug.
You can go prone, then deploy your gun :
Then you press jump (which will automatically also un-deploy your gun) : and when you press the ‘deploy’-button again, the soldier will start to set up his gun : But this time not proning, but while standing.
So pretty much, this way the soldier is able to use his MG-gun with perfect aim, also when he’s not proning.
well, that’s that :
Now im off… playing ET
GL with the full release SplashDamage.
