Hey there #SPLASHDAMAGE and it’s users :slight_smile:

So i want to buy ETQW but is it worth it?

  1. my Location is Latvia, amazon doesn’t support packages to Europe i guess, so where and how can i buy a copy, maybe store ETQW on ebay? :slight_smile:

2.There are rumors, that etqw is closing this year, is it halfway closed? because i guess that the official etqw site is down.

3.Whats the popularity or playerbase of etqw these days?

4.Any ideas of F2P version?

Well depends what you expect, because you are just 6 years too late.^^ The game itself is even worth 300€+, but unfortunately it’s dead.

  1. Amazon or ebay. Just had a quick check and Latvia isn’t excluded from Amazon.

  2. Lol, the official forum and the stats site have been closed for years now. Punkbuster and GGC dropped their support as well.

  3. 2 Servers active: 1 EU, 1NA - only public

  4. Will never be F2P, because no one cares anymore.

  1. Well, I would say TAW is still very active. EU Battalion has doubled since last year, and the NA battalion usually gets somewhere between 12 vs 12 or 16 vs 16. EU is more like 10 vs 10, but we have many incoming. And we play all the maps and TAmod etc. Can’t say if it’s worth it or not for you to get the game though. I’m sure there will come more fun games in the future :slight_smile:

1. Hello, i tryed ETQW about 2 weeks ago for the 1st time, it was best ever game i played online, lot of imressions and fun for the 1st time virgin noob (but i played q1-3, et and many other games). Now its just ok game, but 1st impressions was epic - well made fps with such fun combination of class based fps features found in ET, QWTF, Quake with asymmetric class features, great story (stroggy strogg),maps, gfx. I put 10/10 for this game even it is not kinda up-to-date, just imaging how it was popular in 2008-2009. For sure this game is worth playing. And worth ETQW-2 but its kinda sad to say but industry switched to full fit primitive gaming needs of masses - so i think no chance to reborn. Industry want more profit and oriented more on BF, LOL, TF-2 for kidz :slight_smile: I think ETQW it was last epic gem game made with clue i’m telling you it as was expreiencing games from wolfenstein3d

2-3. People play on euro servers like 12v12 everyday, its pub, not so serious but guaranteed fun.

  1. You should buy CD with cd key or find other way may be some ‘former’ player would gift or rent for free his cd-key or whatever. There is no F2P version. 5 dollars is not big money - go amazon, but amazon doenot deliver to my country so i asked some community guyz and was lucky they gifted me someones ex key. Thanks.

Game is really worth playing, as many said it the most underrated game ever)
