7v7 is a retarded format. Why cant get get some 6v6 or 5v5 min level 10 servers already?
And no “ranked” doesn’t work because I’m stuck with the same kind of incompetents I get in normal pubs so why bother? (plus the idea of trinkets as reward offends me, don’t ask me to explain it just does)

there should be no 7vs7 and 8vs8 servers at all. Get rid of those and add 5vs5 servers and keep the 6vs6 servers. problems solved. 7s and 8s are way too unbalanced in DB.
I’ve personally asked for more 5v5/6v6 Min 20/30, dunno if anything will happen but I got agreement in that they’d like to have them as the playerbase levels have spread out.

Jokes aside I do find the fact all min level 10 servers are 7v7 retarded. At the very least make half of them 6v6 or even 5v5 for those of us who cant stand the spam in 7v7 and 8v8s.
5v5 games should definitely be introduced as 8v8s are too much chaos for me. 7v7s I can jut about handle.
What’s wrong with 7v7, if anything, I think it’s the best. It’s just the right size. With the number of mercs available and how much team variety you need, having more people doesn’t hurt. 5v5 is ok for competitive I guess, but I’d love it to be 7v7. Though that’d take longer since you need to wait for 4 more players.
I believe on stream they once said they weren’t going to do a 5v5 format for public games, don’t quote me on that, but I am fairly certain that was said.
Also 5v5 pubs with ff on serve as a good entry point into ranked without the pressure. 8v8 w/o ff basically a completely different game to 5v5 with FF at this point.

More players allows for more explosive spam and stacking characters. It becomes a clusterf*ck real quick. Just because players are equal on both sides doesn’t make it fair.
That’s fine, I dont think its wrong that there are 7v7 for those who like it. But give us some 5v5 and/or 6v6 as well for those of us who doesn’t like the spam in 7v7.

Character stacking is going to happen. It’s on DB to balance the mercs so that a team comprising mostly of one merc or one class isn’t going to succeed against a team with a high variety. And yes, there can be explosives spam, but there can also be medic spam (I’ve seen it) and engineer spam. Having 2 more people per team isn’t going to break it.

You say that, but it will break it. There is a reason that competitive scene is balanced around a 5v5 format. Not only does a 5v5 format cater to the map size, it is what the game is (supposed) to be balanced around.
SD balances around a 5v5 format, and that is why it is broken when you get 6v6 and 7v7 matches. I have nothing against them and anyone that wants to play it can go for it, but I don’t think it’s balanced in any way shape or form.
