5.1 surround sound

Does ET support 5.1 surround sound?
I’ve asked a lot of people and half think it does while the other half think it doesn’t.

If it does, is there an option to enable/disable it or some other trick to make it work?
If it doesn’t, can multichannel support be added in the next patch?
