2nd September Dev Stream Round-Up

Agreed, and that’s why I love this development team. You all show passion for your work, and understanding about who your audience is. You’re all down-to-Earth instead of robots with fixed responses. Yes it is disappointing now, but were the update released it would have been disappointing in another way. The majority of us will be understanding of your decision so don’t stress too much about it okay, there are still people in the community ready to defuse the tension including @Faraleth and myself as well. Not to mention all the lovely people putting smiles on our faces each day. <3
Update delayed… DAAAAAW too bad, I really hoped for it going for this week, since it’s my last vacation week. Well, better this than a buggy update, we definitely don’t want to rush things.

I hope the next update will give a small boost to the Blishlok as well. It’s considered as an underpowered weapon by more or less two people out of three here (source : http://forums.dirtybomb.nexon.net/discussion/16799/blishlock-discussion-op-balanced-or-up/p1 ). Let’s keep on fine tuning, it’s always a good thing.

Fingers crossed for Dome also being available with the next update. We desperately need fresh new maps.

The spoiler gif didn’t made me feel better though, @Faraleth do you have something involving Parrots ? Parrots are awesome.

HAHA! Holy crap, I’m laughing way more than I should, but… that’s funny xD LMAO!

(Ghosthree3) #24

This is a big part of why I don’t watch them. I don’t care what they say they’re going to do, I care what they actually do. Player feedback also seems to have very little impact on the game - the only times it has had are I believe coincidences with what they wanted to do anyway - so I have really no reason to watch development updates.

[*] When Phoenix is charging his healing pulse, it will look like this.
This is quite clearly, VERY visible to the enemy. (The image is from enemy perspective)

Based on this image alone, (because cleary we still need to play the guy); Am I the only one to find that the healing pulse is waaay too much obvious from ennemy perspective?
It’s like a freaking red shooting target centered on Phoenix… It’s not at all discrete or anything. It’s going to be a bullet magnet.

Seems a little unfair since the other medics don’t make something that visible when they heal… (except aura but even her is not THAT obvious…)

(Faraleth) #26

@Alchimi Yep, I completely agree. As soon as you start charging that thing, it will be a complete bullet magnet. With 100hp he won’t hold out long either, and as it no longer regenerates - rather just does a single pulse of healing, you might get no benefit from it if you die before you release the pulse.

I can see this needing to be toned down to make him viable in competitive. It’s a shame… he was looking amazing until I saw this xD Then the hype went from “bouncing up and down” to “face-desk and falling off my chair” levels… :c lol

Time to cry myself to sleep till next Tuesday T_T

(spectrrrrrre) #28

This will make everyone feel better… :c

It didn’t work.

(Fluffy_gIMp) #29

I can promise you that we look at player feedback daily, and it is the driving force behind everything we do.

I hope they also make Kira’s laser marker blue for allies.

Same goes for Nader’s/Fagger’s grenades as well as Skyhammer’s marker. They’re all red/orange by default and sometimes it causes me to run even when it’s not necessary. Though with the airstrike marker it starts as orange but when it’s called in it turns blue, but it still inflicts that panic for a brief second where you turn away from the fight.

(XavienX) #32

Phantom has HOPE.

(Amerika) #33

It’s definitely better to go the, “when it’s done” route with software as opposed to releasing early and have it be broke IMO.

(MissMurder) #34

Give a warm welcome to the legend @Fluffy_gIMp

(JesseKomm) #35

Welcome, @Fluffy_gIMp!

#36

He has been here since the creation of these forums, lurking in the shadows.

(MilkyBear) #37

I would love to see Phoenix tomorrow, damn i have been waiting for him for so long.

(SteelMailbox) #38

I saw in the merc role call that Phoenix was able to run while charging, however they could always change that.
Good job @Faraleth you did it again.

Please tell me you are trolling as once more.

(CCP115) #39

Tis a bit… obvious. Not sure how I feel. Really reminds me of Nintendo 64 graphics though.

What’s Extraction? New gamemode? Will it be similar to that other gamemode they have in development called Execution?

/sarcasm, just pointing out typos :3

(JesseKomm) #40

I feel as though people are overlooking one thing about this, yes it is visible to enemies, but it’s also visible to friendlies. One major concern I had was people not knowing if they were about to be healed by this ability or if they should be in vicinity to their Phoenix. It could be toned down slightly but then again most players are oblivious to their medic’s health packs, this is… well I guess you could say a beacon for them to get near their medic. It also allows enemy tactics to include AoE on the Phoenix shortly after the pulse takes place as to damage everyone that went to him for health.
