News:

  • They are doing the “finish touches” to Dome right now. By the sounds of it, Judge D makes it sound very near ready. (Note: No ETA or possible confirmation on this.)
  • Right now they are “full on” with Dome, however once it is completed and released, they will go back and improve/fix any issues with other maps.
  • There is a “big one coming” in terms of updates – this likely refers to Dome.
  • No ETA on the next update – right now it’s looking like it will be NEXT week. We will be updated as soon as the current status of the update is known.
  • They agree opening cases in lobbies would be a good idea. It will be looked into, but it not a high priority.
  • They are still working on a fix for the bugged/idle audio of Rhino’s minigun upon respawning if you spectate a Rhino spinning the barrel of his minigun.
  • The Phoenix cooldown penalty upon charging then switching weapon is SUPPOSED to happen and this will not change. It draws from the same concept of Fragger’s grenade.
  • Reminder: They are using friendly-fire feedback in private matches right now to “test” how it might work in competitive.
  • No plans for hats. Nope. Never.

Possible changes/updates:

  • There “have been talks” in regards the changing or improving the MoA. No word on exactly what there possible changes might be. – However, they will be to separate the FEL-IX and MoA more than they currently are.
  • There are no plans to ever bring back throwing knives. They know they are in the game client, but will not be re-added in the future.
  • “There has been a LOT of chatter about Red-Eye and his smoke”. Possible Red-Eye buff/change in the future?
  • Question: Will Nader ever be able to use Martyrdom while alive? – “Hmm, I really like that idea. I’ll note it down.” Please see the appropriate response below.

  • The Stark-AR is discussed quite a lot in the office right now. It may very well get some love/rework in the future. No confirmation on this though.
  • Question: Will we ever see a merc with a short distance teleport? – “No plans for this.”
  • The Grandeur SR is NOT currently being worked on/buffed, however it’s definitely a possibility. It will be something they will discuss for a future update.

  • Question: How do EMP’s demolish a building? (On Chapel) – “Well, let’s just pretend earthquakes be happening often. And there are electro-magnetic pillars supporting the building. That’s what I like to think.”
  • Shoe practiced his ASMR this evening. It was as horrible as you might imagine.

You should mention the possibility of an Intel Specialist merc coming in the near future. My message I sent them was about that (a merc with plantable cameras or drones) and Shoe responded enigmatically with “That’s a thing”.

Yeah, but Fragger gets 50% cooldown, not 100%. Not saying that Phoenix needs that, but I’d like their clarification that this 100% is determined scientifically, not just put there by a programmer when he was developing the ability and then left untouched :slight_smile:

@MarsRover Why? It would be ridiculous to see mercs with some hats that look like they were made for toys not for mercs…

Yeah? How’s that working out? That little “test” of yours. I mean… we’ve had friendly-fire for 5 months now. Surely there’s got to be some sort of feedback by now.

That’s…pretty stupid because the healing pulse is a utility, and Fragger’s nade is definitely a weapon.

The way I see it Phoneix shouldn’t be punished for having to defend himself or wanting to cancel the pulse. The long cooldown is enough of a penalty as it is.

In private servers, yes. Not in private ‘matches’. The matches are a new thing.

No hats? Do SD even understand how F2P works? If they never add hats, then they must add costumes. Honestly, how else do they expect to make cash without some sort of cosmetic?

Why no throwing knives, I mean, it’s just a fun augment replacement.

Red-eye buff is alright I guess.

Good, I used that thing for the first time in a while yesterday, and it is terrible. I swear it has more spread than the BR-16, and takes up way more screen space.

Aimee use a camera device and she is the 4th recon merc. So i don’t think a new type of merc will be introduced.

There are a lots of ways to:

  1. They could separate loadouts from cosmetics… Than make some cosmetics almost unreachable, but with option to buy it.
  2. They could continue loadouts like this but add more different camos for every (and I mean every) rarity…
  3. They could increase number of loadouts for mercs, that way you would have less chance to get loadout you want (I do like more loadouts in game, but I wouldn’t like to see one supirior loadout that can poop on all others, because that would lead more to pay 2 win system)

Now, for hats… I don’t want to fight against clowns… If they add hats, there will surely be some prank like hats… Really, no.

P.S. no offense @Clown (I excluded you from that “clowns” word lol)

I think while downed it’s incredibly easy to avoid and predict. However while alive that prediction goes right out the window. People thought charging Phantoms with katanas was frustrating, this will cause an uproar just like he did. Unless they change the mechanics of it and give her a line she says before starting martyrdom and or using her nades to do it.

I wonder how do they even test balance at this point. The Grandeur SR is fine by them and at the same time they just buffed fragger patch ago, because thats exactly what the strongest merc in the game needed.

I start to think that they either have half dead dev team or more then half of the team are first year interns =/
