21st-24th Dev/Nexon Questions

After the success of last week’s thread being such a success, I figured it was about time to make another thread for this week’s Dev/Nexon stream questions!

If anyone has any specific questions about the game, or possible ideas (pretty much anything you can think of), post them here and I will have this to look through during the stream’s Q&A sections.

Before asking, don’t forget to check out this recent thread I made: http://forums.dirtybomb.nexon.net/discussion/17544/dev-nexon-stream-faq It details all the general FAQ’s from the dev/Nexon streams.

If possible, I’d like to request people not reply to people’s questions on this thread in order to keep it cleaner and allow the questions to stand out. If you wish to discuss any particular topic someone on this thread may raise, instead of replying here, make a new discussion if there isn’t one on the subject already! :slight_smile: I’d appreciate is people could adhere to it. Thanks!

Same question as before:
I’d like to know if (and possibly when) they are going to fix the fact that the sniper rifle can “miss” shots at healing stations, proxy mines, etc… even if it was a perfect shot on target.

My questions :

  • Someone recently discovered that binding fire on mouse scroll makes BR-16 get an insane DPS, far above than anything we currently have. It probably the same for Stark AR. Can we expect changes soon ? http://forums.dirtybomb.nexon.net/discussion/17951/so-it-looks-like-br-16-become-a-tad-bit-powerful#latest
  • Will the echo stats even be public ?
  • Shotguns are actually considered as the worst weapons in competition for three reasons : headshots are not consistant past close range, you loose your DPS way too quickly over distance and you can’t really try to close the distance as you’ll die before reaching the shotgun effective range anyway. Can we expect a shotgun rework soon ?

I’ll repeat my question since it got a bajillion likes. But I asked it before Thursday Nexon’s stream, and this is more of a question for Splash Damage:

Could we make friendly cloaked Phantoms more visible to teammates, to make them easier to distinguish from enemy Phantoms? Something like a semi-translucent blue glow. I may or may have not shot a few friendly Phantoms in the face because of this.

Will the problems with unranked and low ranked players being matched with golds and cobalts in competitive be addressed and fixed?

Will there come a bundle with 5 elite a and b cases that’s the same price as buying 10 elite cases? (Atm it costs more to buy 5 of each seperate).

When the next set of loadout cards arrive(I’m talking about new possible combinations NOT promotional cards with a new skin) will they offer new weapon choices to their specific merc? My concern is that when we have around 18 different loadouts it’ll become dull with only 3 primary weapons for each merc(i.e. it would be nice if mercs like Sparks had a Blishlok in the additional cards, or even have MK46 on Fragger cards and also the K-121 on Thunder cards).

It will never be fixed. The only solution is stopping matchfinder after x minutes.

I asked if they could make it so you choose A or B when you open the cases, instead of when you buy them. I don’t remember seeing it in a stream round-up though.

  1. Is there an ETA on the new merc or are we still left with “around the 30th”?
  2. Will rent-a-merc ever come to the game or do you have other plans for dealing with the current rotation merc spam?
  3. Will the game be out of beta before or after the end of this year?
  4. Will the game ever stay F2P? And if not, will you allow the people who already have the game to keep it?
  5. Are there plans to add more all merc melee weapons?
  6. Can you just, never put Vassili on rotation again?

I have more but I don’t feel like bombarding y’all with boring ass questions

@MarsRover @Clown Yes, sorry! I should have clarified that some questions I simply didn’t get round to last week, or they weren’t noticed in the stream chat for whatever reason. I will prioritise any questions from last week that didn’t get answered! :slight_smile:

Same question as before, Merc throwable fixes such as Fletch’s sticky and med, ammo packs not showing up despite being thrown.

Can we just have Shoe read this thread? That way he wont miss any.

Besides that, are there any plans for map rebalance? (First point of Bridge, EV being 2 inches away from finish at Chapel doesn’t move defenders back or attackers up).

Why has the game’s condition gotten worse since last patch, more crashes and the screen freezing on every map?

And can we also see an update which atleast makes us keep our earned credits, xp and progress in missions when the game crashes?

When will Spark’s hit detection be fixed back to where it was? It was amazingly good and then it was destroyed once more.

Ehh. I think he does only read SD forums, if he even reads them

My question:
Are there any plans for updating/editing current maps? Something like Chapel spawn update few months back.

I’d like to know what they plan to do about Redeye almost not being played, possibly buff him?

I’d like to know what they’ll do to Pheonix being gibbed during his auto revive animation and still losing his ability. Could there be a lower cooldown at least or not count it as a revive ability use altogether?

Since all automatic rifles got their spread reduced to almost nil and there are no plans to add recoil nor spread. Could machine pistols get some love too, so that sparks isn’t at a technical disadvantage?

And here’s a bug list that I would love to know if they are aware of and if they’re going to fix it:

-invisible shoot through doors in Underground
-Random out of the blue gibbing by no one
-Headshot revives with revivr gun not reviving
-Defib revives gibbing allies
-Secondary objective missions not counting every secondary feat
-Missions not restocking

You’re forgetting, that since the removal … ehm… “reduction” of spread and recoil, good players simply kill faster than with a shotgun. They lost their edge. Now if one misses one shot with the shotgun, the other person is going to get the kill 8/10 times.

As in, how much has it detected?
How many have been banned?
How many are hacking in what areas?
