2 cg_commands

cg_notifytext “0” doesnt make the notify text go away :S
and cg_drawfrags “0” too :expressionless:
so my question is… is this a bug or is there a other command to make this text dissapear :?

If the commands have no effect then they are left over from Quake 3/RTCW.

I know from the looks of it drawfrags will be. (Small Red/Blue/Transparent) Box at Bottom Right of screen. As for notifytext im not too sure, quite possibly another name for the type of text in ET? Try ETPro… alot more featurable. (Even a word?) :wink:

  2. Try con_notifytime 0 as well.

  3. I think the command is cg_drawnotifytext 0 anyway.

the text in my screen that shows wich killed who blabla is anoying and thats what i want to remove, the con_notify time 0 and cg_drawnotifytext 0 doesnt remove it :S
i also want to know what the command is for the duration of how long the teamchats are displayed on the screen.

Good question. There used to be cvars to do this in RTCW, but I don’t think they work in ET. You could try cl_noprint 1, but not sure if it works in ET.

The Team chat duration used to be cg_teamchattime nnnn where nnnn was a time in milliseconds. Again, not tried it in ET.

cg_drawfrags = Not used in ET
cg_drawSmallPopupIcons = The skull icons next to the death alerts, etc
con_notifytime = How long console messages stay on screen (I’ve never noticed any effect from this, dunno what it actually would suppress in ET)
cg_drawnotifytext = “You were killed by ETPlayer”
cl_noprint = Stops console messages from appearing on the game screen with the console is not down (Again, I dunno what this would apply to in ET)
cg_teamchattime = How long team chat text is displayed before fading away

Unfortunately I dunno how to disable the death massages you asked about, and I’d love to know myself…

ok i never had time to test that script on ET when i posted, but it doesnt work. It’s from my RTCW movie config :confused: Just another small annoyance to an otherwise great game.

Just been browsing the thread so let me get this straight - is there no easy (one or two commands) to disable all the 2D text & graphics for video production? :o It seems a shame if this is the case, it was terribly easy in Quake 3.

cg_draw2d 0 will turn off everything on the HUD for clean screenshots and video production.

yea but that annoying head stays there >:/ Unless you run through ETPro with no head
