No worries @MissMurder, it was sort of expected since the Phoenix update put a lot of things behind schedule(I assume is the cause). We can all be patient for this, even if it is to come next week, I’m sure Faraleth and I will do what we can do defuse tensions as people wait for the update. <3 We all still love you.

Well I imagine that was a long time ago back when Phoenix was in the game(Before taken out for rebalancing), as said it was replaced by cobalt so quite some time as passed since then. Besides do we need a Diamond rarity? That would be like 6-8 Cobalts and I don’t think a single person in the game would want that kind of grind(If attempting trade-ups), this would also require a complete rebalance of case percentages.

I am excited for new special loadouts, Logitech cards will be a nice little bonus… and not that this is primarily a good thing but… since population has gone down it’s higher probability for everyone here on the forums to get them.

Why would diamond have to be involved with cobalts? They could still use them for event cards or special rewards. I’m just curious why Phoenix’s diamond got added, but neither RedEye or Phantom had theirs added.

Maybe they didn’t get it finished completely, we may never know. But who knows I’m sure they will re-purpose them somehow… assuming of course they already had character skins ready for at least a majority of the mercs, though I feel like any card intended to be earned through cases has a mineral name so chances are they would rename Diamond cards if implemented to avoid confusion for players.

For example I would have paid for server binaries to support this game, but now they are saying no Server binaries, no renting server and no LAN party capability? Interesting…

Just host a private server, cos you only need 4 other people, and I doubt your LAN parties are that small… and if they are, sorry, but you’ll have to wait for full release before you get anything server related, I’d bet.

Well we have LAN party twice a year with 25-30 people… bad news is that the Internet connectivity is just 10/1, that’s a no go for online gaming.

My partner & I were guessing diamond might be their solution to useless cobalt cards. It would’ve made sense, but I guess we still need to wait and see what their fix for that is going to be. I’m sure it’ll still have some shit RNG price-tag. Man, I’m dreading that!

Yeah, a few of my friends and I began discussing that as a possibility, but right now it seems they are definitely down for the count, this is more likely due to the fact that the only mercs that have diamond cards are mercs that were in the game past CBT 1 - note: Phantom and Red-Eye are missing theirs, due to being removed. Diamond cards were likely tinkered with during closed beta, but replaced with Cobalt as MissMurder said.

The Combat Arms cards are likely left over promotional material from when the game was non-steam (ie. ran from Nexon’s own client, for a cross-promotion) and they notably use the Bronze loadout card skin. It is likely they decided to scrap this promotion and use the skins for bronze cards instead.

The alienware ones are cancelled as of now, due to the decision to give away purely Skyhammer and Aura, however the Logitech ones I think it’s fairly safe to say are NOT cancelled, and the Alienware ones may return in another Alienware promotion in the future, but this cannot be said for certain. However, Diamond (and most likely CA) are most certainly out of the game.

Another, kinda key point, people seem to keep forgetting is… These were in the game, prior to the Phoenix patch (at least, I personally knew of the Diamond, Alienware and Obsidian ones). The only new ones for certain are the Logitech ones - I personally never found the CA ones before - and for some reason people decided to get overly hyped on reddit about “datamined” assets which were “new” and it really wasn’t the case… :L

This is exactly why the few of us who did know about them prior, were holding back the information before hearing from the devs or @MissMurder because the hype-train began rolling and now people expect something that isn’t coming. :c
