Whatever criticism you may be trying to come up with is honestly pretty ridiculous, this is the exact sort of thing we have been asking for. An improved Competitive mode and a reason to play it, it’s exactly what we ordered. Stop being such a pessimist, at least until the update comes out.

Well, the stream round-ups don’t exactly have the full patch notes in them…
We’ll have to wait and see. Trinkets and stuff like that are still a big step forwards in terms of potential monetization.

If you’re Cobalt 1 right now after the reset does that mean when you do your placements you’ll skip gold into Cobalt 3? Or is everyone basically getting placed into Gold 5 after placements?

@Zack @RazielWarmonic said every one will be reset to “no rank” (even have to redo the placement matches) every single season. So be prepared to be rolled by unranked “elite/cobalt” 5 stacks every season until every one gets ranked again…
I’d much prefer a reset to the lowest rank in your current tier, keeping the players more evenly matched every season. As it is now, I can only see this rewarding elite players while lesser players get nothing, effectively removing the incentive for non top tier players to play comp over pub.
I hope these ranked competitive matches aren’t going to to be evil on waiting times for us Aussies. I can see myself queuing in US West already.
