  • not able to defuse landmines

happened very rarely though. you step onto it - but nothing happens when
trying to defuse it.

  • menu screen in plain orange

when i try to set up a server on my machine to test my configs, some times
i end up with a plain orange menu screen. first thought it was a prob with
some crappy custom map, but it happened on a default sd map too.

  • mines disappear while dropping them

occurs e.g. when you close the trackswitch on railgun and immediately
drop your mines: as long as the animation hasn’t reached it’s final frame
those mines will simply disappear AND won’t give you your power bar back
as they do when disappearing while you get some ‘cannot armed here’ msg.

anyway: those probs i have really are spread very sparely, so it’s nothing
what could make me quit playing et. there are other games with REAL bugs.
just think of midnight club 2 and it’s >90° steering controls when using
the keyboard. that made the game unable to play. those minor bugs here…
pfff, can’t blame anyone… et is a great game though.

This weekend the game worked fine. Yesterday I tried to play and the 2 games I managed to get into, I got disconnected for unknown reasons after about 5 minutes from both games.

I also saw the weapon disapearing bug, not that it’s all that bad because the weapons reapear quickly. The getting kicked from the game is bad though.

After about 10 hours of play on the new patch, I havn’t yet seen any of the above listed bugs.

Today I had a strange thing happen several times though. Playing as engineer on fuel dump, I brought up my pliers to construct the bridge. What appeared was an adrenaline needle. AND IT WORKED!

At first I thought I had somehow been swapped to the medic class, so I tried to bring up a health pack to give the other engineer some health. I ended up dropping dynamite on him. This same bug happened 3 different times over the course of 3 or 4 hours of play.

Nothing like giving yourself an adrenaline boost before you plant the dyno… :eek3:

I sure hope this problem is not widespread. If this happens again, I’ll post more details.

Nice to see some more posts from programmers, but it would be nice if you acknowledged some of these bugs and/or let us know you are working on a new patch to fix them :confused:

Fix the binoc bug as Fops when you call in arty! You know, when arty is called in and you can’t get out of viewing from the binocs? Oh, and no, I don’t run scripts or cvar adjustments, so I want to use the damn default settings, so just fix it!

By the way, how in the ‘F’ did this ever get missed from the patch? Too much boozen over at SP? LOL!

When you click “Server Info” and than click “Join Server” from the “Server Info” window, you can connect to an another server than the selected. This happens, when more servers are added to the server list in the background - moving the selected server to another position in the list.

It would be nice to see the campaign name and/or current map number/max. map number (e.g. 2/6 -> server is currently on map 2 of a 6 map campaign).

Another strange thing happenend today, in radar. Our engi planted at main entrance (right infront in the middle at the main entrance), the announcer said it also, I watched this dyna all the time as I was waiting for axis to come out the door, and at the time it should explode it just disappeared! Without blowing up the gate !

I checked if you could diffuse from the other side but that seems impossible (lucky for that!)

I did a reinstall of my video drive and installed latest 45.23 , reintalled wolf+1.02 patch and at least the tearing and the “progress bar” not displaying are now fixed.
The game specific bugs are still there :stuck_out_tongue:

not really a new patch error but on radar if you steal both objectives and get them back to truck without blowing the main door the script breaks and axis win… so the moral of the story is rewrite the code or blow the main door if you want to win :slight_smile:

I seem to be having trouble spotting mines with Covert.

  1. in 1.00 or 1.01 you used to get three indications that you were spottng the mine. - the flashing white mine like lvl 4 Battle S.
    - the little picture thingy saying OMG spottng mine
    - lastly the blue bar under the picture.
    in 1.02 i get the OMG picture and some times a blue bar when there seems to be more that one mine around.

This is my problem. No big deal really makes mines more of an excite to catch :stuck_out_tongue:

happened just once to me: a covops was spooting mines and was killed after detecting one mine… but all other mines were visible on the command map (oasis, cave exit)

I think this has something to do with the Axis building the MG tower while dyno is ticking away at the main door, though I may be wrong.

Major bug with 1.02 that made me set my T1 ET server back to 1.01 was the fact that the server didn’t want to advertise with 1.02

Not in gamespy, randomly with the in-game browser, and not in All seeing Eye.

When I reinstalled and ran the 1.01 version again, it now advertises properly everywhere.

(minor bug)Sometimes you can’t exit from a demo with escape. This happenend twice to me since the patch, before I played a 1000 demos and it never happenend.
