You’ve got a bunch of new streamers on twitch, and I’ve watched a bunch of them. Where are you guys? This is your launch party. They shouldn’t have to find you, they don’t know who you are. You need to go find them. Get out there. You CM’s need to represent. You should be welcoming them, encouraging them, giving them pointers and dropping loot.
Also, suggestions based on some trends I’ve seen:
They’re not doing the assault course. The assault course is important. Give them a tooltip that recommends they do the assault course.
They’re picking stupid mercs as their first unlocks. Some dude picked Aimee cause she “looked cool.” “Looked cool” being highly debatable because I think she looks like a member of that mid-90’s boyband Hanson, but I digress. Now he says he really regrets unlocking her. Provide a tooltip that says, “You have enough credits / rads to unlock a merc. Community veterans recommend you unlock Sawbonez, Phoenix or Stoker.” Perhaps also let new players refund one merc unlock while still under lvl.10.
These kids literally have no idea what they’re doing, and when they get out of the max level servers and thrown into the shark tank, they’re getting frustrated and disillusioned. Some still don’t know to drop their Aura stations. Others still don’t know they can go to ammo crates to get ammo if they’re teammates aren’t dropping any. What are you doing about this?
Why not set up a mentorship servers where more experienced players can join and show new players the ropes, from wall jumping to map navigation?
Anyway. Lots of new streamers on twitch. Where are the CM’s.
