Your opinion on Brink

(kingkactuar) #1

There are so many complaints on crashes and frame rates and such. Even for lucky people like myself being able to play the game, it’s a complete and utter disappointment. I understand this game has already been delayed, but don’t release an incomplete/buggy as hell game. The current version does not even deserve to be called a beta. Us gamers liked your enthusiasm and all the big talk in commentaries but I am sure a large portion of us who purchased Brink feel robbed. We put our faith in you and you give us this hot steaming pile of crap. I am not even going to give any reasons to support this claim because all you need is 5 minutes into Brink. But of course I played over 3 hours because I believed that maybe if I just played just a little longer, something awesome and unexpected will happen that might spark my interest… it never happened.

Tell everyone your opinion.

Well…basically I’ve waited over 2 years for this game and it’s horrible. IF the performance issues can be addressed VERY soon then this game could actually be decent

I actually put a lot of hype into this game and my friends and I purchased a copy only to be so horribly disappointed. This release honestly does look like it would be a ‘beta’ rather than the final release. As it is the xbox version is entirely unplayable. Can’t play the game for more than 15 mins without getting a headache from the blur, lack of textures, and overall pixelated gameplay.

love this game
Yeah has flaws, all games do, the AI really isn’t that bad in my opinion, it just sucks at cover, never got aimbotted by them and like a normal human it takes time for them to realize and enemy is behind them, idk what all the whining is about

I think the game is awesome. But I am an ATI user, and getting all the frame rate problems and sound problems.

its still early days, there will be a patch for it soon im sure

While its true, its the VERY early days of it being released, there’s still the fact that there are so many problems it wasn’t even funny after the first 10 minutes.

Loads of people have all said the same thing im about to say, and that is that these should have been addressed in a ALPHA or BETA stage of the games development, but they clearly weren’t, or there wasn’t even an alpha or beta stage that was run. Otherwise problems such as sound issues, video issues, even network issues wouldn’t have happened at all.

Frankly its concerning that a game so promising was released in such a sad state.

Sure it was a good thing to release it earlier than expected…until we found out what exactly that MEANT

Hours upon hours of trying to connect to friends in-game, using every port opening, firewall disabling, routing trick in the book AND THEN SOME. Still no luck

Hours upon hours of trying to make the game look prettier and run smoother by getting the newest driver updates from AMD…still no luck…

For shame…tchtch…:frowning:

Edit: BTW to anyone that reads this, like i said, this isnt my personal opinion, this is mostly based off all the things i’ve read, though i can contribute to the video bugs and the network issues, i’ve had no sound issues.
