Your opinion on best duplicate toons

(Torched) #1

I currently have double Dave’s, double Madame, and double Gus.

Who do you guys find to be the most useful/ powerful doubles?

Dave’s grenade is mean with his mobility and with heavy toons having an extra Gus to push around is deadly in some matches. I am curious on thoughts. I have faced a 4 Madame team and that was wild waiting to see where they turned up with how far they can move in a turn!

Pair the pushers like Dave, Gus and artillery with any sniper.

A whole team of suds is amazing:D

I’ve got double double Gus’s (4) which work quite well.
Also double Petes.

None of 'em.

I just got daves

I’ve played with all Daves, Angelas, Hackers, Suds, maybe others. My favorite is all Hackers with Fryers. I find the UAV’s are useful. I’ve only run them against players that have been open to odd teams and sometimes they’ve run all clones as well. This is all prior to update as well.

Maps matter a lot. Capabilities dictate tactics. The strengths of clones are magnified but so are their weaknesses. If an opponent understands the strengths/weaknesses, I think any clone team can be countered.

Daves’ grenades en mass can arrange and gut an opponent that is too tightly grouped. Daves have the range to converge from just about anywhere on any map. 5 Daves with knives is weak after the initial blast.
It was fun running 5 Daves against Sandman’s 4 Daves when he didn’t expect it.

I’ve tried 4 Angels with S&P’s and 5 Angels with H&K’s. I like the S&P’s better but either way I haven’t been able to generate enough offense with Angelas to be effective. I need to try 3 Angels plus Ivan or Juan.

I like 4 Hackers with Fryers. The UAV’s are mobile impediments and pushers. Enough movement to open up firing lanes. Plus ghosting if needed. Turn 1 good initial spread in cover. Turn 2, deploy drones into cover and shift. Turn 3: push drones, ghost Hackers and rush to enemy’s rear. Turn 4 and later: cause havoc as available. Fun but easily countered.

Sorry Beasttekkers, I haven’t found a way to make Suds work for me in singles, let alone in full clones.

Your results may vary.

I’m now a target for jerries dual Madeleine’s (hackers?) they maybe weak (with new weap damage), but down right annoying cause of there fast movement (under stealth as well )and jerries reluctant’s to close in (uses range and cover well) but hey with a fryer why :p.
drones are used to reduce movement or commit toons to expose or use abilities only uses explosives to help kill otherwise kept for sensor and added threat.
I’m gonna save for one but in the type of player who will never duplicate I like the personalities and learn more to find how I can cope with combinations vs map setting and enemy.

Sorry g00n, I try to not run clones against you. I forgot. And yes, “hacker” is my nickname for Madame La Hacque.

When I hear the Doppler-shifted cry of “g00000000000n” charging in, why should I close?

I’m shy and like to keep my distance. I like the idea of having the longest range on the board even if its not the most powerful.
