I’ve played with all Daves, Angelas, Hackers, Suds, maybe others. My favorite is all Hackers with Fryers. I find the UAV’s are useful. I’ve only run them against players that have been open to odd teams and sometimes they’ve run all clones as well. This is all prior to update as well.
Maps matter a lot. Capabilities dictate tactics. The strengths of clones are magnified but so are their weaknesses. If an opponent understands the strengths/weaknesses, I think any clone team can be countered.
Daves’ grenades en mass can arrange and gut an opponent that is too tightly grouped. Daves have the range to converge from just about anywhere on any map. 5 Daves with knives is weak after the initial blast.
It was fun running 5 Daves against Sandman’s 4 Daves when he didn’t expect it.
I’ve tried 4 Angels with S&P’s and 5 Angels with H&K’s. I like the S&P’s better but either way I haven’t been able to generate enough offense with Angelas to be effective. I need to try 3 Angels plus Ivan or Juan.
I like 4 Hackers with Fryers. The UAV’s are mobile impediments and pushers. Enough movement to open up firing lanes. Plus ghosting if needed. Turn 1 good initial spread in cover. Turn 2, deploy drones into cover and shift. Turn 3: push drones, ghost Hackers and rush to enemy’s rear. Turn 4 and later: cause havoc as available. Fun but easily countered.
Sorry Beasttekkers, I haven’t found a way to make Suds work for me in singles, let alone in full clones.
