Your opinion for the time to kill in dirtybomb?
C’mon man… don’t take away the perfect time to kill that involves skill… In Quake TTK in duel was sometimes 5 minutes + before the first frag. I miss that. Don’t take it away here ;(
Damn… now the devs will start ticking… like there is something wrong with the time to kill and they will shortened it. How could you do that topic?! 
I would argue it could be slowed down a little, like the fastest killing weapon aside from 1 shot kills is about 333 ms, assuming perfect accuracy and all headshots.
I would argue that more consistent spread and recoil patterns for all guns would justify a slightly slower ttk, after all, if more shots are landing that ttk difference will need to be adjusted slightly.
I hit the wrong one, but anyway:
I like the TTK. It feels like it really hits a sweet spot, where with a combination of skill, luck, and weaponry make it possible for you to kill someone, even a heavier merc, but also survive many encounters. I suppose I am saying that I appreciate how it rewards skill as opposed guarantying a kill to whoever shoots first.
The only thing that kind of annoys me about TTK is the OHK shotgun party going around at the moment. It’s not even that shotguns are insanely good as the spread can still mean you miss most of your pellets, but being on the receiving end is really annoying. I’ve been using the Ahnuld a lot on Fletcher lately and while the Blishlock is still a better choice most of the time, the shotgun has helped me pull off some pretty ridiculous CQC mash ups. While that’s what shotguns should be good for, I can’t help but feel their skill level is incredibly low for such good return. OHKs just feel really bad when it’s done by simply dragging across someone’s general chest/face area compared to spork OHKs that require precision and reaction time.

If there is one thing that Splash Damage got right in this game it’s the time to kill. It’s long enough to allow for a response/escape but short enough that a good player who hits proper shots can tear through a team without becoming swiss cheese themselves. Just the fact that headshots actually matter in this game is refreshing compared to the CoD-clones where headshots are more of a bonus and random as opposed to a requirement to be good.

There is no need to apologize, nor take down the discussion, things can be learned even if there is disagreement or overall dissent of an opinion, so don’t let that discourage you from asking questions or gaining insight into varied viewpoints. Even an unknown guy running for political office that somehow gets a mere 1% of the vote in a general election still gets their name out there, and improves their chances in a future election cycle or other venue, as they are now known vs the guy that does nothing at all

I’m also of the view that the time it takes to kill another merc is perfect how it is in this game, at the very least for most weapons vs mercs. It reminds me much of Unreal Tournament as far as how killing time goes, sans the finishing off of enemies which I do like, and that game was the epitome of perfection in the late 90s/early 2000s.
I think most people here would agree the ttk is just right, most weapons should kill at the fastest about 200 ms, and that’s before things like reaction time, ping, and accuracy are factored in.
Personally I am just of the opinion that the more of the RNG we strip away from this game (which is a fucking awesome thing btw), the slower the ttk should be. And I am not even asking for a massive decrease, 11 ms slower at the most. So the fastest the M4 would kill for example would be 330 ms, other weapons may kill at 250 ms, but they’d need serious handling characteristic changes. The Dreiss, Grandeur, BR-16, Stark, K-121, and MK 46 all come to mind.
The time to kill is fine. What isn’t fine is the damage on certain weapons that negate the high TTK Cough Sticky bombs
TTK is generally fine, there’s just those weird outlying situations that occasionally happen where it’s either instant death or death after eating 5950590554894 bullets.
TTK is fine, time to gib an enemy who is mid range and enemy team has a decent medic is damn annoying tho.
I think its fine. If you want to die instantly, pick Sparks. If you want to die unnecessarily slow, pick Fragger. If you want everyone else to die fast, pick Rhino. If you want everyone else die instantly, pick the molotov.
One of the reasons I fell in love with this game is the time to kill.
