Hi mappers…
I have question for you: Do you really have to use oasis water!
It is really ugly , and some places can use lightmapped water ( especially places where is dark ) , i hope you will stop using that ugly thing soon…
BTW: remapshader ( or how it is ) can be used to load new shader or it just load new texture ( because it didnt work for me … )

if you dont like the water, make your own, one you like, and spread it around. its the least you could do, instead of complaining.

post what you’re trying to remap and exactly how your planning on putting in in the script file.

remapshader “textures/jaquboss/complaining” “textures/jaquboss/nicer_jaqu”
remapshaderflush
(shaders as well as textures can be remapped…there are several similiar looking shaders that are default in-game. You’re probably replacing it’s twin that isn’t used.)

ok , i tried it EB, but it complains that it needs texture… Ddo i need for example that “textures/jaquboss/nicer_jaqu” even if i will not use it in new shader…
I complain cos i my friends hate it too and well u think that releaseing some textures mit shader will make mappers use it ? I dont think so…

Actually, I think mappers would use it. What would actually be nice is a test box map with 7-9 identical rooms with a different sample of water in it. That way, people can look at the water, see which one they like, and use the assets that are included with the pk3. I know I’d use it, if I was still mapping.

I can make that easily, even with tess’d water…I will start work on it today.
@Jaqu…can you post the errors u receive ?

Yeah that be great idea, kinda like the light experiment map, whoevers decides to make such a map could use water types like, river water, sea water, still water, dirty water etc etc, i for one would like such a test map.

hmm i deleted my scripts…
When i will find time i will try to make that map and some water textures ( I hope I will )
I will also give second try to shader remmapshader …
