You owe us a beta!

Come on splash damage. You’ve metaphorically stabbed me in the face by setting the release date back. please. for the love of gaming. give us an open beta. im pleading here. Typing on my knees. I’ve been waiting a year now you slap another on top.

please. :frowning:

(reply if you agree)

(Senethro) #2

nope. sorry

(Icemonkeyjr) #3

Your not a member of splash damage.

(Reanimator) #4

I wish for an open beta, but a man can dream :(. A level editor or character editor, or at least something to tinker around with would be much appreciated, but I completely understand if it can’t be done.

(Icemonkeyjr) #5

I do agree! so so much!

(coolstory) #6

pre-orders get beta?? mmmm

(INF3RN0) #7

I would expect they wouldn’t want people to become more disappointed than they already are .

My stomach dropped at the end of that video as soon as the 2011 came from his mouth :frowning:

(crazyfoolish) #9

what video

(signofzeta) #10

Every time I try to say no, or some denying word, I say…

Sorry road’s closed.

Then I continue to say,

What do you mean closed? It can’t be closed. It is the only road into the village of Paderborn.

That’s why it’s closed. Due to special conditions, blah blah, I don’t feel like typing the whole scenario out.

So I’d bet SD would close the road to the town of beta.

No one owes you anything. Get over it.

werd

(Seyu) #14

Getting a character creator like what was done with Spore and Dragon Age would be awesome though and a great way to build huge amounts of hype.

(Ragoo) #15

I dont think they owe me a beta, but I will say that it’s my last hope to play a FPS I could really love to play this year.
I just bought TF2 last week because Starcraft 2 Beta is down… I mean… it’s a fun game, but I couldn’t play it for long because it really feels weird with all the strange classes and guns, and there is just no class I really like to play because everything is so specific. I’m really looking forward to the huge amount of customization options BRINK will give me, so I can really play the role that I want.
I also played some ET:QW again and it just felt so right. Apart from the vehicle stuff, I just love the movement, weapons, class abilities, objectives, maps and the overall feel of this game.
I really hope BRINK can give me all that back (with a better netcode, ET:QW is lagging so much) and since it’s delayed, I dream about a beta c: (and I promise SD, I can be a really good beta tester :stuck_out_tongue: )

(Icemonkeyjr) #16

compleatly agree with ragoo, team fortress 2, i bought it not to long ago but now im bored because its just random arena style crap, no accuracy or tactics, just run in and hope for the best. this is why i cant wait for brink, and i cannot wait to create my perfect character!

(tokamak) #17

It’s released tomorrow

Betas are always a plus, not just to tie gamers over until a games release but because it helps improve the game significantly. It’s always great to have one but it’s not a big deal nor is it 100% necessary.

(Apples) #19

Sorry to sounds harsh, and its not toward anyone in particular but usually open betas are full of moronic whiners who dont have a clue at all about gaming mechanics and just whine to get this or that nerfed down. They dont care about obvious bug / exploits / teambalance / well designed map (tho I trust SD in this) etc etc.

And for a closed beta its usually another problem -> who decide who is or who isnt qualified for the job?

So as far as I’m concerned I would rather see a demo than a beta.

Peace

ither way, i think we deserve something in between now and release. and alot of games are full of pricks who dont understand or full appreciate the work and effort that go into them, i however am not one of them if thats what your implying.
