Uh, dude, cartoons weren’t “for children” when cartoons started becoming popular. Have you watched those old Looney Tunes? There are so many pop culture references and mature themes in it that there is no way they’re meant for kids. That’s because they were designed as fillers to be shown before movies (along with propaganda films).

Besides, that bullshit thinking is like saying “candy is for kids” “cake is for kids” “ice cream is for kids”. (Okay, lots of food references there.)
