I get 25 fps on security. in lowest settings, and with an autoconfig that turns more things off.

im not asking for much just at least 40 fps in lowest settings. But i guess that is to much to ask.
You guys already have my money, grats. Free dlc nice, how about a dlc that gives me 40 fps.

Robbed, also in the sense of the time i have wasted time trying to get this game to run better than it shipped. Downloading new drivers, rolling back, hotfixing, just to get 25 fps on security.

Its like you guys are doing everything you can to get me to not like this game. ffs. If it wasnt for the guy wrote the brink 1.4 autoconfig program i wouldnt be able to play at all.

This is the sort of thing that really annoys me.

The game is definitely in bad shape, and itā€™s inexcusable that it was released in such condition, but come on now. This isnā€™t some grand conspiracy, and SD arenā€™t sitting in their offices laughing about how they tricked you.

Do you have the current drivers? Their was a new update out late last week and it had a reference to improvement s for Brink.

Yeah i applied hotfix 11.5a also rolled back to older versions to no avail.

What SD should have done is said that my current specs* are actually BELOW minimum requirements for this game. Rather than lying and saying the computer below can run this game.

minimum requirements:
OS: XP(SP3)/Vista/Windows 7
Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4GHz or equivalent
Memory: 2GB RAM
Hard Drive: 8GB of free space
Graphics: NVIDIA 8800GS / ATI Radeon HD 2900 Pro or equivalent

I think its fair to say that the minimum requirements are a bit misleading. If i would have known that my computer was below the minimum requirements. I would have not bought the game or, if I did by the game i wouldnt complain that I couldnt run it well because they told me so right on the label.

I use an ati 4770, with an almost identical system, and Iā€™m still getting a constant fps of 40-55 with mid-range settings.

Minimum requirements does not = this is the minimum to get 60 constant fps.

ā€œminimumā€ is used for a reason. It is the absolute lowest possible config that will actually load the game and run at ~20 fps or more.

i think this is an ati-driver problem, not an engine issue.
be sure they work on it (sd and amd). until then, stick to the other ā€œi want some cookiesā€ threads, performance threads are a way enough here now, no fu**kn need to open everytime a new one.

Dude, weā€™re all getting it. Maybe you should look around some more. A lot of people with an AMD card are noticing huge performance problems. Before you start trolling these forums looking like a total looser, pay attention to the latest news and the fact that today is a Sunday.

If you want a refund, contact your retailer. This place is for bug reports and tech help, it needs to be clean and ordered. They are fully aware of the GPU problems, they donā€™t need another thread on it.

And what the hell does ā€œfooledā€ mean? You really think Splash Damage have an intention of personally damaging the game for AMD GPU users? I think you might need to get your head checked out.

READ: Your specs are not below the minimum requirements. My specs arenā€™t, my friendā€™s specs arenā€™t either. We all have a performance problem with Brink and this shouldnā€™t be happening. Something is wrong. They didnā€™t mis-print the minimum specs. They didnā€™t lie to anybody.
