Can someone please give me a guide on how to use RCON while in game. I have a couple Brink servers and for some reason IT WONT LET ME KICK PEOPLE.
This server RCON is driving me nuts right now. I wish Splash Damage did a better job showing guys how to use RCON in Brink.
This is what I do…
Net_clientremoteconsolepassword ENTERpasswordHERE (I spell this the excalt way in the game also)
Then I would type…
admin kick #: chaaz
ex: admin kick 5: chaaz
But then I get a message saying “Server: You don’t have permission to kick players.”
I’m postive my RCON password is right. I mean, its the same password since I got the servers on Day 1. Hmm… I dont know what I’m doing wrong. Can someone help me out please? Also, maybe I need to add my RCON password to my config if it isnt (It should be, I never changed ANYTHING in the config of the server files) but just incase can someone please explain to me why its saying I dont have permission to do this at all? Its driving me nuts. This is the hardest RCON I’ve ever worked with. I used to be a cs 1.6 admin and the Source and hl1 engine was sooo much easiler.
