I’m not saying Fletcher is guaranteed to land a sticky on someone. But the amount of times I am hit with one, or have one land extremely close to me, is extremely high. It’s not like they have to stand in the open the whole time either, they can play the corner game and throw it, take cover, then blow it up switch weapons and finish.
Yet another proof that sticky bombs are glitched.
Participating in the corner game is immediately your fault. There is no winning the Fletcher corner game.
Same with chasing. Don’t. Chase. Fletchers.
When you’re on attack and need to get to an objective you don’t really have any choice… Especially on free week where there’s a Fletcher at every corner.
I mean every class has it’s strong points. If you encounter a lot of them on a free weekend of course it will seem more pronounced.
For the most part Fletcher’s kills have great shock value. You either notice how hard he killed you or how easy you killed him or don’t pay any mind when you kill him.
Dying to him is a lot more intense because of how fast he kills you and to add insult to injury when you are unlucky to have the spherical essence of ptsd stuck to your face.
If I had it my way though Fletcher would still have bombs that auto detonate on impact. As well has having the 4th bomb. That was way more fun to corner peek and throw bombs on people with.
Uh on topic though. Fletcher is a defensive class. So yeah having to attack him sucks a bunch. If you are 1 shotted by fletcher get some team mates to help push.
If you’re playing pubs then maybe flank Fletcher or go another way.
If you absolutely have to advance alone and from a defended corner then wall jump/super jump before going around the corner. Making yourself a smaller target as well as a faster one.
A smart Fletcher would aim for the ground where you will land and not for your model to nullify that advantage though.
