Yet another Phantom Suggestion Thread

looking through others and seeing what they’re asking for, and my own personal suggestion for Phantom to have his own for of detection, along with evasion, I’ve collected info on them all and came to a conclusion.

  • Phantom’s stealth is quieter, maybe gains 10 of his health back

  • Refractive Armor and EMP are set to to different abilities.

  • Phantom can’t attack while cloaked, he would have to deactivate it first, the only way to actually attack out of stealth would be to activate it’s EMP, which can be activated without the need to cloak first.

  • EMP’s effective range stays the same, but upon activation, Phantom’s Refractive armor deactives, draining his whole stealth meter

  • Deactivation of deployables in the EMP field is equal to how long the stealth meter was drained. (Example: If it takes 5 seconds for Phantom to fully recharge his Refractive Armor after his EMP was activated, enemy deployables are deactivated for 5 seconds.)

  • every 3 seconds of active stealth (If it does drain, even if standing still) is equal to 1 second recharge
    (Example: If Phantom activates his Refractive Armor and don’t move, it’ll take 15 seconds to drain but 5 seconds to recharge)

  • Phantom has a passive detection tool, by looking at an enemy, maybe while aiming down sights (Maybe a special filter if done while cloaked) they’re detected as a low risk low reward for him, Maybe similar to Brink’s Homing Beacon.

  • Phantom can interact with a recently killed/downed ungibbed enemy, proceeding to acquire squad information from the enemy team. Similar to Comms Hack from Brink , This serves as a high risk to high reward. as the enemy player might still tell their teammates as to what Phantom is doing, If he was to fulfill this somewhat lengthy interaction, the entire enemy team is detected for quite sometime. maybe even with a warning with Phantom laughing at them, fitting the “don’t trust him with your phone” aspect of his bio.

  • When detected by an enemy Recon, Phantom’s Refractive armor deactivates, only able to reactivate once detection wears off.

I think this is a pretty good sum of what has been suggested. Nice job putting it together, I really like this idea.

I do have one question what if phantom is attacked during his stealth? Is he unstealthed immediately and can attack or does he have to wait the time for him to come out of stealth and then attack, or similarly to now does he get a pretty small shield and just take that dmg and keep going?

Either way I like the idea great stuff!

Basically He’ll be like he is now but to fight back he’ll have to deactivate it first, or use it to tank most of the incoming damage, fighting back after it’s drained or using that extra armor to run away.
