Why is there a disparity between xp quests that you earn independently (regardless of merc) and the xp quests that you earn which require which require a certain merc in your squad?

I never really look at missions anymore, but I imagine you get more credits for the merc related ones? If so, I’d expect that’s because it forces you to play with a certain merc, which is more restrictive than just playing whoever you want to earn that type of XP. That “inconvenience” makes it worth a little more credits.
Someone who has actually paid attention to their missions might be able to confirm/deny this.

Actually I think I mistook something. 4.5k game xp and 4.5k support xp missions.
