XP for healing or covering someone performing the objective

Actually doing the objective gets tons of XP, but the system barely rewards the Sawbonez that threw the life-saving Medpack to the defenseless Bushwhacker, or the Fragger that cleared three enemies from the objective with one nade. I suspect this is one of the root causes of multiple players repairing an objective at once. I therefore propose the following XP changes:

1.) Extra combat XP for defeating someone accomplishing an objective, or for defeating an opponent that damaged your teammate while he accomplished the objective.

2.) Extra support XP if someone you recently healed/revived goes on to accomplish an objective, or for healing someone during the act, or if someone goes down while doing the objective, you revive them, and they resume and finish.

3.) Award Game Mode XP for Attackers that stay near and defend a C4, similarly to escorting an EV. Also award GMXP to defenders that kill/kill-assist the carryable carrier. The same Combat XP for dealing the damage to them is rewarded again as Game Mode XP.

Please correct me if we already get these; I barely notice them because if they already exist, they’re pitifully small compared to the actual objective despite being just as important duties.

To be honest 2) sounds pretty cool getting extra exp for healing/supporting the person who’s doing the “uhb-jek-tiv”. And 1) sounds logical and i dont know why it’s not in the game because let’s say the EV on underground is almost repaired and there’s only 1 sec left and you kill the person who’s reping wouldn’t you deserve a reward for that even if it’s not overtime you should be rewarded for doing that. Also a bonus from me you should get a giant bonus from killing the person who’s almost completed the objective and would bring the match to a overtime because you will pretty much win the match for you’re team.

This is exactly how I wished SD would’ve approached the issue people brought up while ago, how Support XP missions were extremely tedious and way slower to perform even as straight-up support classes like Medics & Field-ops. By adding better rewards and more ways of rewarding instead of lowering the amount of xp needed to said missions. It still doesn’t fix the issue some people have on mindset level, which is supporting simply doesn’t rack up as much points than pure combat way. I’m also talking about stuff like bodyblocking (which is a multi-class action), or e.g bit of extra xp for ammo supplier whose vital pack allowed that other player to get a kill just after re-supplied.

If we’d have 2 theoretical players which would be exactly equally good, one in supporting and one in dishing out kills, the latter will get lot more points. I don’t find it a straight issue towards myself due not being glued to scoreboard as long as I feel things go smoothly or I’m learning something, but I realise it pushes people, with a reason, more towards the TDM mindset which is not good for anyone in Objective based game. Not that there wouldn’t be players like that anyway, but at very least it shouldn’t be encouraged.

Killing someone who is almost done an objective (around same time as Mission Possible) should give a medal.

Getting bonus xp for heals/revives/kills (and maybe ammo) around a planted c4 sounds like a good idea. That said, I’d much prefer it to be game mode xp. Currently, game mode xp is very all or nothing on c4 objectives. Either you get the plant/defuse and get a bunch of xp or someone beats you to it and you get nothing. Some reliable (if your team is winning, at least) game mode xp for attackers would be really helpful.

Alternately, give attackers near planted c4 a couple of 100xp “objective defense” ticks. Model it on the “EV escort” xp ticks. I just want some reward for helping someone else plant instead of being incentivized to wait for a defuse and replant if I want game mode xp.

Also, game mode xp for killing an objective carrier would be nice. Maybe the same 250xp that you get for returning the objective?

Both of these have been edited into the OP. Your first idea of every one of these being Game Mode XP? I’d rather have the Support XP rewarded again as Game Mode XP, or double XP in other words.
