XP farming with AFK bots

(AssortedStuff) #1

I just played 3 matches (pub server) where there was 1 AFK player throughout. Same spot, 1st spawn, all the match.
He wasn’t completely AFK otherwise he’d been kicked out automatically (…and I saw him throw ammo once when my death cam was in his view), so I assume it was controlled by a bot/script of some sort.

What to do with those players?

Which reminds me, the voting dialogue box needs BETTER visibility. …Or an audio prompt, or something that effectively tells players that a voting is ongoing.

…do kicked players get any XP or credits? If not then that would surely discourage AFK bots.

Kicked players don’t get exp. The issue here is votes never passing. There actually is an audio prompt for votes.
What to do? Same as aimbots I guess?

With this weekend as a prime example of hackers and such exploiting the double XP/Credit farming environment, not having a single vote noticed by 90% of players is a serious problem indeed!

Probably can be done even with a general mouse macro.

Yeah, good idea, was also worried about that. Noone sees the prompt…
