XBOX 360 'Unplayable' 'Lag'

I just wanted to post this as a heads up for SD just in case they don’t check brinkthegame.com as often as here.

‘why am i lagging so much??? Did they not put the patch out? I’m hard wired to my xbox with fibre op i should not be lagging???’

'Same issue. Two humans, a hundred bots, and an unplayable game. ’

‘Played 4 games, and all lagged horribly. My internet is good too, and just for good measure I restarted it. First game I got into and I couldn’t even move.’

'Not coming here to complain, just give feedback so hopefully they can be resolved.

First up, obviously, the Lag. Some matches are better than others, some are okay for parts of the match, but the lag is pretty bad.

Textures staying extremely low quality until you are right up on them. Im guessing they arent loading as quickly as they should be.

The enemy team’s skins are not loading, i find myself fighting against blacked out generic characters with red outlines on them.

Obviously these post worry me as i’m getting Brink on the 360. Like i said just a heads up of the problems reported thus far for the xbox version.

This game should not have been released. and the price for this game is like stealing, what a total piece of crap they put out. do like me take it back if you can. never,never buying another bethesda game ever.

Quite a few player are reporting lag on the 360, its my major worry when we in the UK get it on friday. However, rather oddly the games on Justintv don’t seem to lag. One guy playing 4 player co op on xbox with NO LAG at all that i could see. :confused:

If there’s unplayable lag all the time then SD need to patch it asap. I have to wait till friday anyway (UK).

CoD, Homefront, all fps games have these problems at launch. Isn’t putting me off. Its something to expect. ANd it will be fixed i mean look at MK9

Most folk complaining of lag haven’t even played with this many real players, let alone 16…

I played two 360 games with at least 7 humans on my side, and approximately that many on the other side and in those 2 games I experienced one brief (2-3 seconds) moment of lag at respawn. The rest of the time it was pure awesomeness.

The guy is a little harsh, but lag does suck. If you buy the game and that is your first experience of what Brink has to offer i would be pretty peed off.

Yeah, it’s laggy in most games I join.
Otherwise I’m loving the game

iit seems if you get a game of four or more going the lag starts to kick in.

It’s not for your benefit Daz, i’m just putting it out there that people are complaining about lag. I don’t want to receive Brink on Thursday/Friday and find out the game is unplayable. I’ve also seen videos with no lag… but now i’ve seen ones that do lag.

Where’s all this lag coming from? Wasn’t the day one patch supposed to fix the connectivity issues as well as the graphics pop-in? It’s not even server-side lag as they’re using p2p.

And where the hell is SplashDamage in all of this? It’s all very well posting the glowing reviews but this is silly. If you buy a game where 99% of the enjoyment comes from multiplayer you expect it to be working at least…

In any case, I’ve had some serious lag too but it waxes and wanes. It’ll be fixed in time, but for now just keep trying. You’ll eventually find some great games.

At least you get to play at all. I have played 2 matches. I had to be offline pre patch and they still froze up on me after about 20 minutes. I hope Splash Damage fixes this issue and gives out some DLC or something. A 60 dollar game that is unplayable.

Everyone needs to email SD then, and hopefully they will try to patch the issues. I know we shouldn’t have to tell SD about issues but it might make them work on fixing them quicker.
