xbox 360 - playing with mates doesnt work

(aignetti) #1

Hi there,

i got a bug/problem with brink on the xbox 360. i have 3 mates who are pkaying brink but if i get an invite from them to their game it doesnt work. im playing the game on german so i dont know the exact translation for the words but ill give it a try … first if i get a invite and i accept it i start with the invite “lobby” (not realy a lobby but dont know the english word for that thing) where i can choose a character, my weapons and so on. til there i have no problems but if i press the play button i get first a window with the message that its connecting but then nothing happens and after 10-20 seconds i get a new message with the german word “zeitüberschreitung” - i think timeout is the english word for it.

this happend now every time when i tried to play with friends. tried it with different mates, which where playing on different servers but like i said it doesnt worked a single time.

is there a solution for that problem? does somebody else have this problem? do the devs know about that bug/problem?

is there a support page where i can contact somebody and tell them about that?
thanks, like always: sry for my bad english

Do any of you have a strict / moderate NAT type?

i would like to give you a answer but i dont know what that is … im sure it has to be something with my internet connection, but im not sure.

maybe this can help you … my xbox is connected to the internet via lan. its linked with a router which has a firewall. i dont know how my friends are connected to the internet, i think its the same way.

I was thinking NAT problems also, you need to go to the xbox360 dash, system setting, network settings and test your connection. If you have a moderate or strict NAT it should let you know with a small warning triangle after the test. Get ALL your friends to do the same and see what results they get.

Try http://portforward.com/ for make and model number of your router and forward xbox live ports.

It get’s better. You’ll join a game on the other team and it won’t let you change to the other team to play with you friends because this game was made by idiots. Scam artist idiots.

ok i had to forward some ports … but even with forwarded ports i get the nat warning … the ports are 100% openend :frowning:

edit: now ive triggered the ports instead of forwarding them and now it seems to work
