WTF? Can't kick from Ranked teamkillers or trolls

(Artyrim) #1

So for first time today I had the honor to met in ranked a fackin russian cyka trolling in ranked. He started to kill us without any reason ,complained even though he was the useless trash . Then I tried to kick that fackin 7 years old trash and there is not a option for kick…really?
I reported him in game and i will do here as well. I hope he will get a ban from ranked so we(who like playing ranked) won’t see him anymore .

It bothers me too. Hackers and team killers are the worst. It doesn’t happen often, but when it does, it will piss you off to no end. I miss having the option to kick them.

Someone did initiate a kick on a teammate recently. I’m not sure how they did it. I’ve tried both using the scoreboard (click on their name) and hitting Esc and using the “Call Vote” button, but neither work. I believe if you use the console, you might be able to initiate a kick. I’ll have to try it sometime.

The picture will most likely be removed due to the name/shame policy.

If you keep punishing him for team killing, he will eventually be kicked by the system.

I imagine that it wasn’t a pleasant experience to say the least. Kicking was an option initially but it was disabled later down the road, perhaps because people were abusing it? Either way as Lord_Coctus already mentioned, if players punish you a certain amount of times you are kicked automatically.

I have removed the screenshot due to no naming & shaming.

i think there were people who is trying to idle grind in ranked and was kicked, write in steam about how (not really) he was kicked and now it snowballed here.

Idk, I had only ever seen vote kicks against players who were either dragging the team down, hacking, or teamkilling. And since it was removed, I don’t even remember the amount of times I wish I could have kicked someone who was ruining a match.

Hell, I’ve even been in servers were players stop playing, and just start running into a hacker’s line of fire to eventually get them kicked, and then bring the match to a draw. I just don’t really see how the system could be abused, you’re shooting yourself in the foot by kicking a teammate who doesn’t deserve to be kicked, and there have been so many situations where we needed to kick someone but couldn’t, that the match was completely ruined.

@stayfreshshoe, can we please get some insight on why vote kick was removed? I just don’t get it, and I’m sure a lot of people don’t either.

If i remember vote kicks were useless any way. If u vote kicked some one they just cameback any way

Well, as far as I know they blocked people from that server in pubs. Sure, maybe they bugged it out, but you’d think they’d fix it by now…

Deliberate teamkillers can be easily kicked off from matches.

Every single time you’re given the option (chat window shows when) to punish them for team damage, DO THAT! A few /p 's initiate a vote kick on the person, and even if that would be to fail, a few more will automatically boot them off with no returning back (code considers getting kick as a match abandon so no reconnect option should be given).

Now blatant cheaters and other types of despicable trollops… Not so easy, I agree. But I’ve managed to tilt cheater a few times so hard by TK:ing them next to spawn (they were too bloody dumb to /p me so I didn’t get kicked myself :smirk: ) that they set up their bot to basically shoot everything on sight, friend and foe alike, eventually resulting in me and my duo punishing them enough times to boot them off and slap a nice little penalty in the process. Good times.

Think about reporting any players throwing matches through the in game report system, under the “offensive name” tag (we do not have all the report tags available, so you are allowed to use tags that does not fit the reason to report).

Throwing is becoming a common issue, and it’s not something we want to see spreading anymore. The only real solution I can see about this is a community effort.

Heaps of threads, in-game reports, support tickets and direct messages to Developers wasn’t enough to get Corrosion X banned, so your “community effort” solution clearly isn’t the right one. In the meantime, Corrosion X roams the streets of Ranked with his head held high, and his Surrender button on the ready.

As much as we dislike the idiot. Theres still no name amd shame. That said i too have dealt with that cranky idiot and we never seemed to have enough votes to kick in pubs… Luckily it wasnt ranked when i delt with him. But if i do ill take a penalty and leave the match before it starts protecting my team from a loss from him as the match will never start.

(Your worst knifemare.) #14

I would like to know why we can’t do anything against those players who kill themselves at the start of the match and then avoid the afk timer by moving their mouse around the entire match. We can’t punish them since they aren’t killing their team and they aren’t afk.

Take a look guys:

(Artyrim) #16

I never “punished” a guy for ff because sometimes it happens and never “punished” a team killer because losing that 300 xp or all his xp is not something to cry about.

At least now I know that punishing you can kick trolls or noobs team killers but the question is: there is any penality if i quit after kicking someone from ranked? I mean is 4vs5 and is hard to win so would be nice if at least I don’t loss my rank

Even if you leave after the message told you that it’s ok, the game still counts for your rank. It just saves you from getting a penalty and having to wait before you can start your next ranked game.
