Wrong Active Merc in Limbo Menu

This seems to happen only at the start of a new round / map or when joining a server. Basically the merc that is currently active is not the one highlighted in the limbo menu. It’s not only misleading (you end up spawning with a different merc than the one you though was selected), but you can’t even use the limbo menu to pre-select the highlighted merc for your next respawn because the “apply” button is not available since the game thinks that merc is already you selected one.

In this specific case:



Menu was initially showing Fragger as selected, but I spawned as Phoenix (see hands and weapon at bottom of screen). Going back to the limbo menu, Fragger still showing as selected and cannot force in that selection since apply is unavailable.

I think that this is simply because you get autodropped in a team with the merc you last played with? All you really have to do is Selfkill(default=K or whatever you set it too) and select it after that?

You’re probably right about keeping the last merc you played, but that doesn’t explain why the menu says something else. And yes it’s easy to fix, but still annoying to have to suicide right off the start to be able to pick the merc you want.

I hope they fix this like, if you are already in thee game when the map changes you don’t get the limbo at roundstart so you can just start with the last merc you had. If you join a game where it has already started(so you join midgame) it puts you in the spectator team instead of automaticly dropping you with a random merc. And then allowing you to join a team with your prefered merc manually. Think that would be the nicest way to join a server anyway.

I don’t recall having this in previous builds, but could have failed to notice…

sometime i try to switch merc and the Apply doesnt work :frowning:
