That’s pretty much exactly what I had in mind. Something which is fun when waiting for a server to fill up or your friends to come on, which is quick when you have a few minutes to kill, which is consequence-free when you’re new and unsure of yourself, and which isn’t ranked vanilla when you’re a huge scrub too afraid to turn your server filters off.

In some respect it is very much part of the game. Corny but a game is a sum of its parts, a warm-up mod or alternative game types could very much be considered that bit of polish that makes it stand out from the crowd.

As an afterthought, no, I wouldn’t want it. As something equally polished as the main game I think it would be a very positive credit to the Brink franchise.
