Would Like to Hear New Ideas for Mercs Unlike any Current Mercs

A few of my ideas:

  1. Bows-- I think it would be great to have a Native American or (if they want to stay in the European character theme) a modern Robin Hood-type character. The bow has a lot of versatility as there are various type of arrows that could be applied (standard, flaming, caustic, explosive, etc).
  2. Status effects-- The slow of Thunders grenade is a good start, but the game could use some additional status-effect characters. A caustic character would be nice-- one with an ability to poison other characters and drain their health over time.
  3. Throwable melee weapons-- I would like to see a throwable melee weapon like throwing knives, shurikens, or a spear/javelin. The player would need to recover the weapon or wait until it reloaded in order to use again.

Would love to hear other outside the box suggestions from the community. Thanks for posting!

  1. Bows have been asked for before and could work depending on how its put into game.
  2. Status effect ideas have been frowned upon already, poison could be Op or Up.
  3. Throwable melee weapons have already been ingame but have been removed.
  4. This belongs in the merc/skin suggestion area.

I like the idea of having a bow in the game too, whether some sort of traditional recurve or a single-shot, powerful crossbow as an ability. A Native American character model would be pretty badass like you said.

Other than that, I can’t really think of much. I’d be a bit hesitant to implement a lot of status effects as well, but I think frost would be cool and could work out somehow. I’ve always thought a merc that could teleport very short distances or sort of slide, dash, or strafe quickly would be interesting if it wasn’t a passive effect.
