Would like no bots or 1 bot to balance the teams

Hi,

As the title suggests, I’d like there to be either no bots, or just one bot to balance the teams.

Should I add bot_minClients 1 to the config file?

We’ll have si_teamForceBalance “1” set also.

Anything else I should do?

Pretty sure this isn’t possible with server cvars alone
You’d have to write a custom bot management script or something

maybe? I would have to go and look at my config again, but I have somethign along those lines with 8 instead.

so my server creates bots up to 4 per team with teamBalance on, and once the server is running with 8 real players no more bots.

bot_minclients 1 only says to put 1 bot on the server unless at least 1 player is on the server.
bot_maxclients or whatever it is just sets the maximum value for bot_minclients. ie. if maxclients =8 then minclients can never be greater than 8.

I think mustang is correct.

Hmmm…I thought I’ve come across loads of servers with this setup. I seem to remember being on these servers where it is no where near full, and there is only 1 bot.

Let’s see if anyone else can help?
