Would Be Nice for Something to be Done About Special Edition Cards...

(hawkeyeguy99) #1

The fact that I can do absolutely NOTHING with these is kinda irritating. At the VERY least, can we get the option to recycle the ones we don’t want? Say for the value of a Gold or Silver card? And I’m not talking about just these new containment war skins. I think we really need the option to do SOMETHING with the special edition loadouts that we no longer want or need besides just let them sit there and take up space because this is ridiculous.

~Another reason going onto the “Why don’t we have trading dear splash damage” pile

Why not allow rerolling for credits?
Starts at 10k and increases by 5k every roll. Both mercs and loadouts can be rerolled. When rolling a merc the card turns into a random loadout of one merc except the one the loadout was originally for. When rolling loadout you get one of nine possible loadouts without the merc changing.

Why not separate skins and loadouts finally?

Everyone keeps asking for re-rolling but I honestly don’t care about it to be completely honest. Re-rolling doesn’t solve my problem that I still have about 20-30 loadouts total, some that I’d rather recycle than keep that many. I don’t really want that many CW2 skins, I’m just trying to get a Fragboi loadout in it so now I have all those skins that just sit there

I’ve said in a few other threads that it would be nice if we could recycle special loadouts during the event and only getting stuck with them once the event is over. That way we can junk what we don’t want and keep what we do want, and then don’t run the risk of accidentally junking them down the line. I’d also make the cards you purchase unrecyclable to avoid accidentally junking something you bought.

But more importantly than recycling

Can we please just scroll up and down through our loadout cards and items instead of navigating through pages? Please???

Yeah one of the reasons why I switched resolution and what not.

As an example

Scrolling would be amazing.

How many credit’s did you have before this?

For sure. I don’t have a ton of event cards, but can easily see why this would be a nuisance. SD could easily implement a system to get rid of unwanted event cards. Why haven’t they?

(hawkeyeguy99) #10

Edit. Nothing to see here.

Or, since the game is already exclusive to steam, SD could move all special edition cards to the steam inventory, so

  • you could trade them for other special edition cards
  • you could sell them on the steam market

I don’t know how much money would Valve charge for using their servers for storing the items, but if you sell something on the market, 15% of the price goes to Valve, and another 15% goes to the publisher of the game, so that might be enough for that.

This would solve all problems regarding event cards:
If you have “bad” cards, you could just list them on the steam market for a cheap price, and someone might buy it - but even if nobody wants them, the items you are selling are removed from your inventory.

If you have a good card for a merc that you don’t use, just trade it with another player. Or if you have too many CW skins like @hawkeyeguy99 , you could trade them for shell shock or ranked skins (or even offer more than one for an obsidian)

It’s 10% for the publisher and 5% for Valve

Thanks for the correction!

10% is still good imo, some popular games (like CS) generate insane money from the steam market.

@DaaDog Those gen 1 cards I wasted mad money and mad credits on.

Steam market would be the idea solution and the one I’m in the most favor of, but that feature has been requested for years with not much more than a “Maybe” from SD so I’m not going to hold my breath. But man that’d be so nice.

Well, I hope that only Nexon prevented that move, and SD can do it now - especially considering the increased amount of events which yield special loadout cards

(TheStrangerous) #17

I’d be satisfied if I could delete mine.

You do have some nice ones at least? And you got a bunch…I’ve only gotten 1…and I wont use it.

Out of every single event card I’ve got…I’ve only ever gotten 1 card I’d use and it was from the ReV event, that proxy case you could buy with the currency.

(Photocomfort) #19

It’s unlikely SD would implement any type of trading for loadout cards since there’d be less incentive to purchase elite packs.

For example, if someone had the specific Cobalt I really wanted, I could just offer him a bunch of garbage (of equal value) for that card. Otherwise I’d have to drop a boatload of $$$ on Elite pack rolls, for even a chance to getting that specific Cobalt.

On the contrary, being able to trade loadout cards on the Steam market would assign value

I really don’t care the way…I’d just like the ability to trade.
