Would 3on3 work?

I thought this was a great addition to ET when ladders / cups were setup.

I guess same rules as the current ESL config plus No Mines and No Turrets?

What you guys think?

3on3 works in ET because the game is aim-based.

id say mines allowed, but only 1 of each class in teams, would add a new dimension to the game.

I have a lot of fun with 2v2 on Refuel.

When one considers a mine or a turret as being as strong as 1/2 a human, you could think of the teams being virtually 3v4. Mathematically, the ratio becomes more equal the closer you get to infinity so 6v7 is more even than 3v4. I would prefer the 3v3 team size over 6v6 but then I think you lose most of the purpose for which the game was built. It seems to me the game was developed to have a wide diversity of classes operating together at the same time. Although most maps only need 2 or 3 classes operating per phase, it becomes more of a need for those who can actually outshoot and not get killed.

For example, a soldier blows the gate in sec-tower and then an operative hacks the safe, then a medic delivers nacheyev. Each phase has need of only one primary class but now look at a different example.
A soldier blows the gate in ContainerCity while an Engineer continually rebuilds the bot-vehicle.

Sure these can be done with 1 or 2 classes per phase, but I think we can all agree we want a medic running with us and an additional soldier for the constant ammo supply. Before the trolling hits remember this is just an opinion.
